At 87, he was still singing and moving his lips. I saw a recent video of clips from earlier this year and he was basically just standing and staring into space and his lips barely moved. It was very sad to see. He’s obviously being forced to perform at this point.
This song brings me to tears every time I hear it since my wife died three years ago. It has become my "grief song" and she would appreciate that. Our music is so important to our memories and our sense of the immeasurable value of love. And we were Jersey people.
Hi, I grew in your hometown of Newark New Jersey. My older sisters seen you, the Four Seasons perform at school in Newark. Wow, bowled at the Four Seasons in Union, New Jersey too! Was fortunate to see you at Madison Square Garden. Remember Branch Brook Park and Ting-a-ling hotdogs. Down neck!!! Hopefully, you read this. God bless!!! Tiamo
Damn… and here, I thought Frankie’s voice was prerecorded when he first started singing. I was wrong about that. That is all him right then and there, and he’s nailing it
Check out the Hindley Street County Club's (HSCC) rendition of this song that was just uploaded. It's absolutely brilliant! Best cover band on the planet.
