I don't have a problem as I live in Calgary and I am always in the mountains. If a person comes from around sea level they may notice the air is thinner. This is not a hard hike so a person should have no problems. Just take it slow.
I did this hike with my wife last week when we were in Banff. Absolutely incredible experience as you pointed out that short walk along the side of the cliff was a little daunting, but we got through it totally worth it at the end.
@paneshkumar9521 The parking is not good right now. We were there at 7am on Tuesday of this week and it was full. Everyone was getting turned away. I recommend booking a shuttle. Probably busier now due to the Jasper situation.
another nice video. what i appreciate in your postings/channel is your description/detailed info of your hike/trail with the date of the hike. all these info helps esp. to those unfamiliar of the area. thank you. looking forward on the next one.

Thanks Cary! I use your videos to find hikes I can do. Your videos do a good job with trail directions and difficulty. This was actually one I was planning this year. This video shows it is ready to hike, but I think I will wait until September to see the larch change. 👍
What a goegeous hidden gem. The only down side to being a hidden gem is the increased chance for bear encounters... I'd prbly have been shouting out "hey bear!" the whole way after seeing the first fresh bear scat pile...lol
The chances of a bear encounter definately go up on less popular trails for sure. We just made sure that we were talking a lot and had our bear spray ready. If I was by myself I may have turned around after seeing that fresh bear scatt. After about kilometer 4 when we left to the smaller trail there was no more bear scatt.
Thanks so much. The best fall hike I have done in KCountry is Arethusa Cirque. But the downside is that it is always packed with people. I am going to give this one a try in the fall, I don't think there will be a lot of people on this one, and I want to try and get to the other side of the lake to get up close to the remnant glacier😁

@marcoKrb Another great Larch hike is Saddleback Pass. It starts out at Lale Louise. There were some people on it when I hiked it a few years ago, but nothing crazy like Larch Valley at Moraine Lake. I have a video of this one, it's called Saddle Mountain.
If you like steps this is the hike for you. It's not bad getting up to the saddle, after that it is very steep to the summit. Not an easy hike, but the views make it all worth while.
I have a DJI mini 2. I have had it for a few years now, still learning how to use it🤣 I thought for sure that the lookout would have had a person in it🤔
@@LIVEONALBERTA Drones are very cool that is for sure would also make it easier for me on my exploring trips. just fly straight up do 360 job done way easier bushwhacking with a good compass heading. I was surprised to see no one there., the helipad looks like a new one. i did all smoke mountain yesterday the wild flowers were stunning.
@@LIVEONALBERTA I have just posted my video and i have to say the views were stunning, I could see all the way from the elbow valley up to elbow falls area and way south to the sheep river valley. amazing views and a fairly easy hike. not sure if you have done that one but it is a great day out thats for sure and billions of wild flowers this time of the year,

@@LIVEONALBERTA from the inkpots if you continue up stream there is some nice exploring up that valley. also where i had my first encounter with 2 wolves . but they vanished as fast as they arrived, amazing animals for sure.
@@LIVEONALBERTA On my dawson loop trail clean up the other day i came within 50 to 60 feet of a large bear which started huffing and jaw chomping. and stomping the ground. that was good enough for me to get out of dodge, i had my bear spray in hand clip off and ready to go in about 2 seconds, unfortunately i snapped off my safety in the process, that sure got the heart beating.
@davebloggs Oh no, that would definately make me have to change my underwear. Glad you got out safe. I have only had one encounter with a bear and that was hiking Corey Pass. He was a nice grizzly though, just kept on walking past us. I can't imagine an encounter like yours. OMG
Haven't been here since 2014, but I've been wanting to go back, but it just gets *so* busy. Never gone up to the ink pots! Should really give that a go at some point.
We started our hike at 815 and the main parking lot was only half full on a Sat. There were some people both at the Upper and Lower falls, but not crowded. Going to the Ink Pots is a little tougher but well worth it😁 Coming down people everywhere😢 Both parking lots were full and a long line of cars along the highway. My legs still hurt🤣🤣🤣 I couldn't find much info on this hike so it was like my Birthday, surprises everywhere. Not looking to do another one like that anytime soon.
@@LIVEONALBERTA Not my kind of hike at all. I prefer to stay in the forests, It made my legs hurt just watching it, and that tree at the top across the trail i thought that one needs shifting hahaha. thats why I always have my saws etc with me.
Yes I have been using it for years now and hasn't failed me yet. Sometimes it is a little off maybe to the left of right of the trail. I always have my trails downloaded before I head out on a hike😁
ab.so.lutely. not. lol. Ridge walks give me so much anxiety, even when I'm not doing them haha. Was very cool to see into a valley you don't normally get to look down. Please tell Bill that his flower photography was lovely.
Emma it took me a few days to recover from this one, OMG. It's not a very popular one, so I didn't really know what we were getting into. The views definately took some of the pain away🤣🤣🤣
