Watching this and several other nier lore videos after completing nier:automata has been fucking crazy and alil hard to keep up with ngl 💀 but this does help understand it, great video 👍🏼

I had the thought that the other Nier being playable is because Yonahs mother is the only person that has vague memories of them, as the recycled vessel themselves was a replicant that perhaps gave up their existence, their body, to give the mother more time to live, turning them human, and perhaps the black scrawl that killed them was likely a lie by Popola and Devola, or their mother themselves. And the writings is trying to recall their memory, so faintly, from replicant life, human life and gestalt life. Kainé remembers the protagonist Nier in almost a similar fashion. No residue of their voice, just their vague influences. Protagonist Nier doesn't acknowledge having a son/father, Yonah doesn't acknowledge them. It's very likely also some mixed memories of the past during the gestalt project, like the basketball court.
Splendid video bro. I was currently playing Nier Automata got to ending E and chose the option to sacrifice my save file it sucks! But i finished Nier Replicant last month now i know their connections and lore thanks to you but im still depressed about both endings and faith of the project gestalt its so tragic that all white haired Waifus end up in a bad ending. well i watched many videos of the story, even hour long ones, but i didn't really understood it, cause english isn't my native language and i don't understand much hard words, and those others always adds forced humour or jokes which sometimes i din't get and that also made me not understand the plot, but however the way you described was pure one, it was hollow 😅 and thanks to you now i know the (mostly) full lore of the Hollow Knight 🥰 thanks a lot 💖

I feel the Collector is a failed kings mold that ended up getting locked up since he was just being a goof ball...but he may have helped gather the grubs to be examined to see how their metamorphosis worked but probably started doing his own thing and the king locked him up with his already existing collection where he would probably going even more crazy since he couldnt get out to his other captured grubs...his precious
Before I searched any lore videos I thought: 🔘The whole Drakengard thing with the flowers and the white dust 🔘Humans getting the red eye disease 🔘Humans creating androids 🔘Humans and androids creating replicants to preserve their bodies and memories 🔘Replicants gaining sentience while the human memories succumb to the black scroll 🔘Replicant ending causes humans to die off 🔘Replicants slowly lose control and later alien machines arrive 🔘Alien machines wipeout the rest of the replicants 🔘Androids are left to fight a hopeless war
Automata, like Automaton, is correct. But if you really want to reach, I could see Yoko using it as its mispronuciation is similar to "stigmata" which fits the story. lol
I'm a big fan of Neir Automata but this was all so confusing... I'm not sure how canon any of it is supposedly to be or how it relates to any of the endings in Automata.
These two games are so fascinating and weird with how it shifts from fantasy with magic to sci fi with robots. A story spanning thousands of years... humans going extinct... Lots of sadness all round.
I know I’m waaaay late to this game…. And let me say…. Best Metroidvania ever!! But you got all this from playing the game? I had to come watch this video because I had 0 idea what was going on. 😂 can’t wait for silk song…. I got so lost in this game so many times. I hope they do a better job of helping players track objectives. I had to “back track” so many times…. Just trying to figure out what to do. It was fun…. But frustrating at the same time. If you like platforms and Metroidvania games…. Play this!!!!!! You won’t be disappointed.
Just finished Replicant and DAMN this game universe is soooooo dense, everytime i seach for something 20 things more appear. I have to stop searching otherwise i will get spoilers from Automata. Great video

Sorry sunshine...but I'd rather go full Caim/Angelus on Kainé and Nier. She understood their words, yet you spared none, not even Kalil and Beepy (although I don't judge her fof the Heap, I didn't like the Gestalts from there nor the ones under Gretel). And the Shadowlord was Nier himself...yet the replicant treated him like any other mindless Shade. The hypocrisy... Let the world... buuuuuurn ! Let the aliens, the machines and whatever androids that are created in this timeline have the our legacy. Our protagonists made humanity worthless by being its champions, like the ones in "Drakengard".
You forgot to mention that Garuda is also a male in myths, and was even a male when introduced in FF3 before he got gendered into the female (waifu) we now know.
I tried reading and understanding the lore......but it seemed like basically nobody was speaking english......it seemed like everybody was speaking like people did in the 12th century.....it was fucking annoying....I still read most of it, but gave up trying to understand anybody and started to just no longer give a shit......I think it was a bad move on the devs to not make things more clear and straight forward....
I've played nier reincarnation latest chapter and I think it's probably the arc from automata. It was mentioned that The Cage was once a paradise where all the characters in the memories live. It was then attacked by some black foes which then turned it to The Cage. It could also be the divine tree but im really not sure
I love this game, but for the difficulty, especially on Path of Pain, is insane. I really hope that for the background obstacles, it would be less hard.
Although she looks attractive I lost my interest in her right after i knew she's inter and read WITCHES' SABBATH...I don't even think she has female genital at all...What a sick Taro with this idea! I'm on my first playthrough but I'm not gonna take Ending D in my next play...Why sacrify myself and save a large d!ck who masturbate violently and wildly at every night after killing the enemies at day????
