WTF is that crap on the front of that machine? I use a 4 in 1 bucket and my laser pads are right on! That is worthless and extra weight causing more wear and tear with added fuel consumption. LMAO 😂 you need that to spread sand? 😮 OMG
If you can fit one of these laser graders on a 943-953 size rig, you would be in really good shape. They put lasers on dozers why not full size track loaders with quick attach blades?
Peoples comments crack me up I've used the Sharpe grade blade and its magic we had some blocks that bolted under the lift arms only about 70mm it worked better
Hi Alex Yes, some skid steer hitches are set a little low for efficient back-blading. As we have an adjustable hitch plate you can add up to 100mm of spacers: another unique feature only available on a SharpGrade!
Hi Adam On average, a Dual Grade SharpGrade is 3 times faster than a machine with a bucket, plus twice as accurate. We have never had anyone come close to the speed and accuracy we can achieve (although many delude themselves that they can), plus we do not need a man on a grade stick. There are many companies that will now only accept a SharpGrade prepared surface. If you do not have a SharpGrade, you do not get their business. This is the ultimate testimony...
What you are missing is that machine should hare the lasers tied into the machines hydraulics... The final gradingis automatic... But its better to start grading from the end he's pushing the rock to..and in this case the right side... Then you work the rock out the door.. The rock needs more moister. And compaction before final trim for grade..
Hi Jesse Do the math: A 1200RPM laser allows the SharpGrade to respond and adjust grade 20 times PER SECOND. The fastest operator can only respond 4 times per second (all machine controls are hydraulically damped internally to prevent a faster response). The average response time is twice per second. A man on a grade stick maybe 8 times per minute on a good day. Coupled to that we can adjust tilt up to 10 degrees either direction automatically 20 times per second, it is physically impossible for even the best operator in the world to keep up. Plus we do not need a grade stick man...
You can do the same thing with a 4 in 1 bucket! I do it everyday and cut it concrete/paved ready in 1/2 the time. The tracks eliminated the hideous grader attachment.
Take the 4:1 bucket and put it just flat on the ground. Without moving the machine, open the bucket up about 6 inches. Now roll the bucket out so the open part of the bucket is a depth guide and the blade on the inside is trimming the dirt. I cut pads for very highly sophisticated machine shops. I have won twice in Las Vegas at the kick some bucket contest for superior grading. The bucket splits apart go more that just ripping stumps up and picking up piles.
Hi Alex This is actually not the case. The Katipo is the shortest, lightest Tilting Quick Hitch on the market. We have them fitted to even smaller machines ranging from Cat 216, 226, 239, 246, 247 , 257, 259, 277, Terex PT50, PT60, ASV RT60 etc. Because we have the shortest forward length the machines CoG is much less affected than other brands. This is why we can fit them to smaller size machines. Scotty Manderson, who is shown in the video has been running Katipo Tilting Hitches for 15 years and will not have any other brand. He has tried others but finds the low weight, high strength, compact design with sealed lock pins, "open centre" design, clear upper hitch area and 20 degree tilt unbeatable: all features not available on any other brand. The unit shown has already clocked up over 3,000 hours of work with zero issues. Scotty is very focused on productivity and estimates his Katipo increases his productivity by over 10%. When greater track life is factored in, the savings are significant.
Unfortunately this is an urban myth. As the blade is controlled both up and down, any slop in the system must be taken up before the blade will move. So for a 3mm increment the cylinder must move 3mm plus the 15mm.: a total of 18mm. A response in the opposite direction will require the same 18mm in the opposite direction: a 6:1 ratio. While at very low speeds the control may keep up, at any sort of normal speed will result in under and over shoot. It is the same as having a loose steering joint on your car. To keep the vehicle on the road, significant steering input is required. At car park speeds this may be fine, but hi way speeds it becomes impossible to respond quick enough, resulting in dangerous wandering all over the road. I guess it depends on how fast and accurate you want to work . For most contractors time and accuracy is money. The real question to be asked is why is this sloppiness present in a brand new piece of "quality" equipment in the first instance
Interiors Outlook theres some truth in that but it depends on what youre doing just loding a dumper with soil is not where the rototilt shines. also you have the claw on the back wich is super usefull from time to time. if you were forced to drive a machine with one of these for a year you wouldnt want to go back to not having one, they are expensive and heavy but usefull and mostly a blast to use. it makes it so much more fun!
