I am wondering if hawk kills the squirrel before eating eat(like suffocate)? Or he just grabs it firmly and eats it alive?

I'm also shocked. We have one in our neighborhood (or a few if it isn't the same one we keep seeing) and I fell in love with this heron. It's like Florida's own penguin. I always thought of it as a benign little dude but after seeing this video, I think I've begged off the idea of going full St. Francis of Assisi.

What you see in that water is a result of a City full of trashy scumbags and a city government who does nothing but ignore the problems such as this one.
