Since the memory seat cutout is there, can you not order the parts from a Civic touring and somehow wire that up? It sounds easy, wondering if anyone has tried it? 🤔
People say that this car is expensive but when I was looking into a type r before purchasing my type s , mark up for the Honda were pushing 20k . People were buying a 65-70k Honda civic !
You're 100% right about that front lip worry. This has been my first enthusiast car and I learned the hard way backing into spots is a lot safer. Also, the wireless car play issue has to do with an incorrect handshake between the phone and car. Only way to reliably fix it is to do a factory reset of the infotainment system and tell your phone to forget your car. You'll need to re-pair everything but it's fixed things for me. It's been several weeks and I haven't had a pairing error since.
Lmao all of your complaints about this car are purposeful lol. The Type S isn't meant to be a plush, comfy, luxury car... it's the enthusiast version of this generation of the Integra. They tried to make it not super heavy by adding more material on the headliner, a power passenger seat, "cheap" (light) plastics on the window switches, and all your other gripes haha. That's why it IS good, because of all the things you pointed out as "wrong" would normally be things an enthusiast would WANT lol
They are purposeful in the sense that they needed to cut cost since they are not trying to be a hardcore performance car because the Type-R already exists. That’s why they call this a more luxurious Type-R.
I’ve owned a few Acura Tsxs’ in the past. Loved them. High quality . Great cars. I actually really liked the integra as a kid but never could afford one. I currently have a c8. I think I’m going to buy one of these as well. You only live once 😊 right?
Torque Steer, huh??? These stupid engineers persist in forcing FWD onto *sports variants!" No amount of technology will eliminate Torque Steer , because asking the front wheels to direct the car, hold the weight of the engine and power the drive is dumb. RWD is the key to these cars; they will never learn. Imagine if all the Integra, TLX, Civic, and Maxima's (without CVT too) were all RWD... they'd be more popular than they are. I drive the 7th Gen Maxima. There are days I'd dream of it being RWD with a 6 Speed Auto/Manual.
I travel 5 states regularly and have never seen ONE! Stopped by the Charleston SC Acura dealer this morning and the salesman said they’ve only gotten 3 and aren’t expecting any more anytime soon….. Does the Ohio plant crank out 1 a WEEK?? Very disappointing…….😩
I've never had a camera on any of my cars... and I have never experienced curb-rash. If you need cameras to prevent that, then you need to go back to driving school.
@@AutoEnthusedTV Better driver? In some aspects, sure, I’m not expert at all driving, just the basic ones that taught me to not hit anything with my car. At the very least, I’m certainly better car-parker, because apparently one camera isn’t enough, you need 360° virtual reality to park without curb rash? And for the record, I can parallel park an 18-wheeler too, hitting no curbs. State of California tested me, and I passed. Your sarcasm is lost on me. Shows more what kind of person you are, than me.
I am not sure why you seem upset (or overly defensive) but I literally say you are better than me. I have no problems saying what I am not good at so if you say you’re better than me then more power to you!
@@AutoEnthusedTV I’m not sure why you think I seem upset. Did I say I was upset? You’re the one bemoaning the absence of 360° cameras, because according to you, you need that to avoid curb rash. Meanwhile, you’re the one who offered the “better than” comparison. It’s already not hard to never hit curbs with the wheels and I’m just saying… if you need cameras to prevent curb-rash, then I suggest returning to and relearning the fundamentals of maneuvering a car, esp. at low speeds. Saying you need 360 cameras to avoid curb rash discredits yourself. You said that about yourself, and I called you on it. I’m not upset. Why do you suppose that upsets me? I know what my skill level is, and by your own admission, I know what your skill level is too. Your stated reliance on nanny-tech like radar, indicates your skill level. My recommendation still stands: if you need cameras/radar to prevent/avoid hitting things, it’s not me that is better than you, it is you who never learned how to use mirrors correctly.
There's nothing about this car that says it's any worse for kids getting a dirty than any other car. The space is actually the key for kids and car seats and whatever. Adults alone do not need that gigantic back seat
We just switched from the Palisade to the EV9 and we think, so far, it was worth the upgrade for us. We already had one electric vehicle and this is our 2nd. They just drive so much better. We feel this is nicer in almost every way over the Palisade. Massaging seats, that recline even without the foot rest is better bc the seats tilt back too and it’s super comfortable. Yeah, the stereo is mediocre tho.
You’re absolutely correct. It is nicer in every measurable way. The price point is just at the higher end for someone who might be shopping with space/practicality in mind. I’m happy to hear you love yours. Congratulations!
The ITS costs close to $60,000 including taxes, tags, freight, processing, etc. That already is an expensive pill to swallow. The problem is this car is routinely marked up to $80,000+ so anyone who buys the ITS for the markup instead of a Cayman, C8, Dark Horse, M2, RS3, A45 or a Supra is an absolute fool.
This has been said a million times already so everyone is quite aware. Also, just about every car you mentioned have markups as well depending on your location. I was shopping for a Supra and the asking price at the time was nearly $80K
I will never forget working for KIA HQ at the time the Telluride was being launched. They targeted 50k units per year. I did some math based on the dealer network, and felt it was going to be a tall order. Fast forward and boy was I wrong. The Telluride dev team deserves a massive raise as it carried the company during the pandemic. Now with this coming out, and it reminds me more of the Kia Borrego; great product, a bit too expensive and the timing didn't work out as well. Ironically the biggest problem the EV9 has is the Telluride in which it is trying to replace/emulate. For $20k less than an EV9, you can get just about everything in a very good looking Telluride wrapper.
Exactly my sentiments. I think you are right about the timing. I love the EV9 but not nearly enough to pay the asking price since I already have 80%-90% of it in our Telluride.
Thank you for the amazing review. Your honest opinion is appreciated. As for me, I think an electric car is just a rechargeable battery that will eventually die, and replacing it will cost half the price of the car. For this reason, I am hesitant to buy an electric car until I see that it is reliable.
I have almost 13,000 miles on my 2024 ITS and I love it as if I just got it yesterday. Almost got a 2023 boost blue Type R in 2022 but when this got announced I waited. Already had an Acura TLX at the time so I waited. Don’t regret it at all 👌🏽.
Not a big fan of Ev’s but I had to get an Ev bought lucid air loving it, it’s just brilliant of a car keep falling in love with it more and more over the days
Ok I am seeing some trends similar to my Corolla Hatch XSE. Lack of passenger power seats, no tray in the center console and no memory seats. Is it really that much more to add those? I am looking to upgrade the Corolla (while nice) to either an Integra Type S or TLX type S. I love the manual in my Corolla (not as much as my NSX) so I am leaning towards the Integra. One thing I thought would happen with driving a rev match manual system is it would mess up my driving of my NSX as far as remembering to blip the gas or heel-toe rev match that while driving. It did not happen. I guess my body just knows what car I am in and it happens automatically without thinking.
