This song is as relevant now as it was when first released in memory of George, so much has changed and yet still people are victimised for loving those of the same gender. I have family members who are gay and I will love them for the people they are, not the people who society wish them to be ❤ 💙👍

Thanks for posting this. I was born with a hearing impairment and I loved this song as a little gay boy back in the late 80s. I could understand a great deal of the lyrics but my cassette tape album cover didn't have lyrics. As an adult it is nice to use your lyrics to gain an even deeper emotional understanding of the depth of this song. I intuitively knew the story growing up with all the stories of murdered gay kids. I too ended up in NYC Greenwich village, living it up with the other gay kids from small towns.
