I was looking for this song to give to my son. I love Rod and suddenly there is a need for this song. I loved my son yesterday and today I love him just as much. Thanks Rod, you have eased my way to letting my son know I love him.

Thanks for posting this. I was born with a hearing impairment and I loved this song as a little gay boy back in the late 80s. I could understand a great deal of the lyrics but my cassette tape album cover didn't have lyrics. As an adult it is nice to use your lyrics to gain an even deeper emotional understanding of the depth of this song. I intuitively knew the story growing up with all the stories of murdered gay kids. I too ended up in NYC Greenwich village, living it up with the other gay kids from small towns.

It's one of the best songs 🎵 ever by Rod Stewart . It was definitely sung from the heart ❤️ if everyone just lived their own lives and didn't worry about other people's lives. It would be a much better world .

This song literally changed people's attitude to *Gay* people. On of a few slow "drip, drip" epoch songs & moments that brought us here in the UK at least to a much happier, enlightened & understanding place & I'm proud of Rod & the British performers back in the day who started that!

This song made me cry. I've never heard it before. I of course thought of our beloved boy George, and then I realized that George could never love me the way I loved him. But I'll stay his fan anyway. As for Rod Stewart, his voice is tremendous, but he's got such a face, only a mother could love! 😕 I guess that's why dear old Rod wore his hair so big. God bless all the gays, it's not their fault, they were born that way. A mother throws out a child who's gay isn't really a mother at all. Thanks sweetie for this song. This song is as relevant now as it was when first released in memory of George, so much has changed and yet still people are victimised for loving those of the same gender. I have family members who are gay and I will love them for the people they are, not the people who society wish them to be ❤ 💙👍
