I have a bunch of videos and interviews of various metal bands that I've either recorded to VHS (usually from MTV back in the day) or acquired through trades over the years. Most of these videos have been sitting in a closet collecting dust for years, so I've decided to put some of them on my RU-vid channel for other fans of these bands to enjoy. It's also a great way for me to watch these shows on demand rather than digging through a stack of DVDs.
Any ads that you see on this channel are being placed there by RU-vid and none of the profits generated from them are going to me. This channel is not approved for personal monetization (yes, I did try. I was rejected).
I'm also part of the Somewhere in Time Podcast (I'm Tim). On the podcast we revisit various metal albums and give our thoughts and opinions. You can listen to the podcast here - www.somewhereintimepodcast.com
Max, Igor and Paulo born in Belo Horizonte. Jairo born in a small town next to Belo Horizonte. The band's first record label (Cogumelo Records) is from Belo Horizonte. Bestial Devastation, Morbid Visions and Schizophrenia were recorded in Belo Horizonte.
I watched this live and it was the first time any fan was hearing Jerry was a race car driver. I couldn't believe the bass, my friends and brothers and I were blown away. It sounded so crazy, I recorded it on vhs and kept watching it, to hear the bass
Conversion is incredible. The bands/label should be kicking in $$$ for your work already. Maybe add a watermark that can be removed after. I view this in the same category as remastering and you should get credit for it. There's so many lost gems you've unearthed, polished, and packaged for the world to enjoy. Time to get paid or credited.
Thanks. It's funny because I agree with you that the amount of work that I put into these should be compensated somehow, but whenever I post these full videos I brace myself for some kind of copyright strike or other complaint. There's a DVD version of this show that comes with a deluxe version of Among the Living and it looks TERRIBLE. I couldn't believe how bad it was. Makes me wonder if something happened to the original masters of this show.
@RedFlyRuledByTheRiff I wonder the same about the fire, but who knows. Revisiting this show was fun regardless. The sound on this is amazing and the band is incredibly tight. Charlie is a beast.
Man I remember just turning on the TV and seeing awesome bands and music like it was nothing. Now you got to scour Spotify like Indiana Jones in some Temple somewhere.
One of those 'kinda cool' first albums that Lonn casually tossed on the floor went on to become huge 'industrial' metal icons for the next several years. 😅
*In the mid 90's, all the bands getting favored by MTV and their media partners in radio were being told they had to unite with the gangster rap movement to remain successful in their industry.* This is one of the many reasons I hated Limp Bizkit and would still like to punch Fred Durst in the face, but also for personal reasons because of something he did to me personally.
@WvMonster man ya may remebrr me from commenting on your other airport music hall videos, saying that i practically grew up in that place and hold it in high reguard as such an underrated venue with the sickest shows back then, tucked away around the bigger cities in surrounding areas. But i gotta tell ya, i like your channel. You have so many underrated videos and songs from mtv etc etx too. I have alot of vhs footage from the area as well. But i get less of a chance to bust it out, due to having mov3d a few xs in recent years. Alot of it sealed in boxes. I also havent setup my vcr in awhil, i need to get on that. But i dont have access to a way to transfer my video stuff from their apparatuses into youtube or the web. The series of videos that im bummed got removed from youtube and your channel, are the Hard n Heavy vhs series.
Fantastic concert video. The skit with Charlie, John and Eric Carr still cracks me up, along with the Tour Pirates. Musically, it's astounding, such a tight group.
this is the first tour I saw him on and it was at a 1920s church that was turned into a concert venue stained glass hard wooden floors it was sold out many protesters outside offering to give you money not go in so they can "save your soul" ofc no one did but before the song Antichrist Superstar he said "let those mother fuckers outside hear the power in this room" he throw a bible into the crowd it was destroyed then the song started. I traveled out of state 3 more times to see him was never disappointing. Glad his back on tour.
People can talk trash about Anthony but at least he performs live. Imagine what a joke Taylor Swift or Beyoncé would be if they didn’t lip sync to backing tracks
