Awesome video. Thinking about ordering these. If i already lowered slightly with obd11 do i need to go back to stock? Or can i adjust from what i have it set at and just not lower as much. Did 10mm all around on obd11
yea, we are going to use the GPS to send he signal to the canbus module. Already have 99% of the channels figured out to delete he errors, but now gonna work it into gear functionality to reduce load on the motor when a shift is initiated etc.
Yea, but the issue is the driveshaft still has to be custom made. We thought about that and using a DSS single piece, but still has to be lengthened. That runs into the issue of needing a larger diameter shaft that might not have clearance with the floor tub. IIRC the oem driveshafts like 2" diameter. While the DSS is a 3.5" IIRC. Basically this shaft thats getting made will retain the oem front, but chopped off with a longer tube, then at the carrier it will have a new end, to split he two, while the back half will have a CV joint. They do this with TTRS already apparently. SUPPOSEDLY they are working on it today.
@@tgkmotorsport DSS is the company making the driveshaft for you? I have an 0B2 in my B7 LS swapped A4, which has the flanged output but this required a custom length driveshaft. Unsure of the driveshaft diameter but pretty sure it was around 3.5”, then I was able to use a CV eliminator companion flange (N2-2-206) on both ends then basically any driveshaft business can make it similar to domestic vehicles. I think it was $500 plus $50 for the flanges.
@@projectLSaudiA4 No, They straight up said they couldnt do it LOL. Currently its a local TTRS company making it. basically making it like a US vehicle driveshaft. just working it around retaining 2 piece to keep the diameter around stock.
I see why you're not going with the sport diff... that being said, a stock sport diff from a b8 s4 WILL work in the c7 s6 right I assume? As long as you have the axles ? Prepping for my s6 swap
How you only have 550 subscribers is beyond me. Great content man!. Truly paving the way. If not for others, for me when I pull the trigger on my c7 swap lol Seriously though. When you figure out some of the wiring and error coding I might have a Q or 2. I'll shoot them on FB on your build threads. Excellent editing as well. The whole video is on point. 👏👏
We actually have a B8 A4 avant! Originally the plan was to manual swap 4.0T in that car but decided to do our S6. Still trying to figure out the gameplan for that car now... Might do a 5 Cylinder AAN, or Built 07K. NOT entirely sure yet!
LETS GO!!!! I wish you would have let me know when y'all came down. It would hav been cool to say what up! Also Jay is awesome, he saved me some nightmare on that car when I first got it. Also also, youre gonna need a clutch HAHAH
HEY! We would've, but it was kinda a crappy weekend cause i was so notoriously hot outside and we brought our two huskies down. Basically we came down grabbed it and drove straight back. BUT the swap should hopefully be done soon, If your at Helen again next year, Ill let you take it for a spin! and YUP, already ordered a big clutch for it! HAHA
yes i just did mine today like that, every wheel separately, although i did 7 revolutions like he said and i didn’t notice much difference so i might go to 8
So awesome you're doing this and documenting everything. I have a twinning white s6 with a ton of tgk parts I'm badly wanting to swap to manual so I'll be following this closely.
So the fact that the car is almost lowered 2 inches lowered if you ever have to get your car towed, you can’t raise it up from the computer in the car so it don’t scrape on the tow truck
I'd be concerned about other reliability issues if you are concerned about the low likelihood of needing a tow. Modifications aren't for everyone, but some modern tow trucks do have provisions for lowered vehicles...
Very good example for lowering your audi. Just bought the links and this looks very legit demonstration how to do that 😎🤝 thanks!! 2012 model sedan that is going trough this lowering thing 🎉 greetings from Finland.
