Marvel had and still does have the right to create and publish and comic book content connected to the star wars universe but they do not contribute to the disney canon of star wars
Marvel used to and still does publish Star wars comic books. When you have a moment look in to comic book corner art boxes, I grew up with them in the 90s and always thought they were kind of cool. Especially since it was such a a small space to work with, considering the actual size of a comic book page.
This is my interpretation of the comic book corner box that Marvel used to use on the top left corners of their comic books. The bottom part is the info for that comic like the issue number and date it came out as well as pricing. Marvel used to publish Star wars comics back in the day. (Edit) Marvel still publishes Star Wars comic books.
I'm learning how to make knives out onto saw blade. I hope you answer my questions. What kind of quenching oil you use and what is the temperature of the metal before quenching it?
The quenching oil i use is old peanut cooking oil. I use a magnet to check the temperature of the metal when heat treating. Basically heat the metal up to a red color and then I use a magnet to see if it is still magnetic. I'd the magnet sticks it needs to get hotter. Once the magnet stops sticking I heat it a couple more minutes to make sure the metal is heated evenly. Once its nonmagnetic I quickly quench it in the oil. I leave the metal submerged in the oil for a couple of minutes until it cools enough to handle. Then I use a file to make sure the edge is hardened. If the metal has hardened then the file will not bite in to the metal it will just glide off. If the file removes material from the quenched metal then it did not harden.
After I made this I realized it would have been smarter to heat the saw blade up to anneal it first then it would have been way easier to cut and file. I remember when I made this and cutting it by hand was very labor intensive and it ruined at least one hacksaw blade if not two. Had I annealed it first I would have had a much easier time shaping the steel.
Can u pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeessseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee teach me to build at home pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeessseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
Thanks, I still have and use it. If I were to make another, I would have to change the hilt section that curls up towards the eye of thundera. The model is beautiful, but those parts are very thin and snapped off from regular use. I would just make them as thick as the rest of the hilt and then it would be perfect. Sorry I don't sell these, I would have to charge a crazy amount of money for it to be worth my time.
I'm still around, just not posting stuff on RU-vid I occasionally post on Instagram. I never did sell these, this particular one was a gift for my kids science teacher who attended OU. Thanks for the comment stay warm.
@@danthemakerman is there some wood working ideas I could get from you that sells well? What’s your Instagram I’ll message you… trying to get out of debt lol
@@willwork2fish261 I never really had any real luck selling my stuff. But I can recommend Matthew Peach here on RU-vid, he has a lot of videos for simple projects that can sell for decent money. He has free plans for a lot of the stuff he makes too. He's an awesome dude with a great channel and very creative ideas. Good luck!!
Thanks, it was 100 grit sandpaper. Also, just and FYI, this stone has been sitting outside for the past 7 years and still has the letters epoxied in place.
Nice very cool! Was gonna do this over the weekend after seeing several vids on saw blade knife vids but not one question about hardening the steel! Thanks you got another sub👍
Thanks, yeah there is always a risk when dealing with fire and especially oil. I've never had any flare ups but that's mostly due to me not lifting the blade out of the oil until its cooled way down. With that said I do always have a fire extinguisher at the ready just in case.
So they do woodwork in America! A joy to watch your videos. Always inspiring and I admire your imagination to keep coming up with great ideas and sharing your knowledge. Well done. One Handed Maker - Australia
