Hello, my name is Jun. Welcome to my channel! Videos will be uploaded periodically (several months) because I'm a busy university student.
This channel is a video journal of the knowledge that I learn and also my experiences. I hope that what is shared here will broaden your own knowledge.
There will be videos of different categories surrounding personal life and Malaysian culture. 3 types of video formats on this channel: - New experiences [thumbnails with my face = hearing my voice] - my pondering thoughts on life/lessons(voiceless/scripted). - Simple recipes for fun(voiceless/scripted).
Gula Melaka Bread Popcorn Most caramels have butter added into the sauce, but for this recipe I found that it overpowers the flavour of the Gula Melaka. Recipe down below! @junsjournal (Recipe was adapted from Nino's Home) Ingredients: 2 slices of bread 3 tbsp Gula Melaka 2 tbsp water 3 tbsp coconut milk *Additional note: A traditional caramel uses white sugar and is cooked until it turns golden. For Gula Melaka, I don’t think it’s necessary to caramelise it but I try to caramelise it anyway.
I've been seeing this trending and thought of giving it a try. Maybe it failed because I used agar agar instead of gelatin and perhaps the mold is too small. What do you think?
Hi, I tried out the ever famous apple rose, but I didn't follow the roll hack though haha. In terms of flavour, it really does allow the flavours of a good apple to be appreciated. On the other hand, I think having pastry cream in the tart would make it less plain. ☺️ Video credit: @junsjournal Recipe: 1 large apple 1 tbsp brown sugar 1/2 tsp lemon juice 2 tbsp water 1 tsp honey Puff pastry Some apricot jam Glaze: 2 tbsp water 2 tsp apricot jam Steps: 1. For the puff pastry, Ccut out circles to be put into the mini muffin pan. You can use a regular sized muffin pan too. 2. Place it back into the freezer. 3. For the apple, thinly slice it. 4. Cook the apples with the sugar, lemon juice, water, and honey until it becomes pliable. Not mushy. 5. Remove the apple slices from the liquid and let the slices cool down. 6. Take the muffin pan out of the freezer and fill each hoke with 1 tsp of apricot jam. 7. Roll the 5-8 apple slices into a rose and place into the muffin pan. Adjust if needed. 8. Bake at 200 C for 10 minutes, then lower the temperature to 180 C and continue baking for 10-15 more minutes or until golden brown. If the apple starts to burn, cover with another tray above. 9. After it's baked, glaze the apple slices with a mixture of apricot jam and water. *High heat is needed for the puff pastry to puff.
Cause the Mee comes in the square packages in the shop I get it from by the time we open it it ends up in a flat square that holds the shape a little So we just opened the wrap and we'd just eat it like a brick lmao
Now this is a quality content from fellow Malaysians. Not those typical cringe things on the market. Target overseas audiences too :) Keep on doing this and you'll blow up in no time. Edit: approved and subscribed
Although this isn't Malaysian, I still love exploring food from other cultures! I added more salt behind the scenes and it became too salty😵. Kimchi is so tasty, hope I can make a successful one someday.😍 The ingredients are common too except for the red pepper powder.
Thank you for sharing Max's story. Pets become part of your family especially one that have been with you for 17 years. Hope you are doing better and less sad after your loss. You CAN draw BTW.
