Thank you for this video!!! It makes things a lot easier to understand with a visual guide. One question: Is the marketplace considered a warehouse in regards to the transfer station? Or is the marketplace considered an "end", so to speak, of a supply chain, and only vendors will put items in the marketplace?
I just played this like couple of days ago and i really like it but had to restart countless times as well for i had no idea what to do 😅.. im gonna do it exactly like this thanks 🍺
Holy! This is so complex, my brain kinda hurt😂 but i learn something about logistics❤ . I have question. How do you have enough logistics personnel when my people are busy with their work on raw materials?
That could be for any number of reasons. If you use Discord, I, or other players, could help you better on the official server. Here's the invite link if you're interested. discord.gg/6Myfkc6jJZ
So essentially, a marketplace is a Supply Terminal (or a Delivery Station if you have the Delivery upgrade), that instead of the player having to manually select items, it "autoselects" all the products that the houses within its radius needs. For some reason that mindset helps me imagine Supply Terminals and Delivery Stations better. They just un-upgraded and upgraded marketplaces for production chains. Wish there were some presets you could select for different chains, e.g. selecting "ore processing" would quick select things like sand, clay, iron ore, wood, and refined fuel
One thing I found: For things that you're always going to have a lot of, like dried dung if you're going mostly meat, or water, you might want to designate just one storage building for that particular resource and then tell all the others not to take it. That way, you don't end up with all your storage buildings full, and you can't put food into storage because you have six hundred tons of crap.
Very nice explanation, watched this video 3 times now! This helped me very much as I'm still on my very first settlement. 🏠🏠 From what I experienced so far, the amount of space & workers used for production buildings are roughly the same needed for logistics. ⚒️🛠️=🚚📦 So lets say 100-tiles-worth of space is used to plonk down production buildings, you also need 100-tiles-worth of logistics buildings (storages & transfer/delivery) ⚒️🏠=📦🏠, 5 production workers needs 5 logistics workers. ⚒️👷=📦👷 But if you're really efficient, this ratio can get larger, with less logistics needed per production
Hi i have a question. i dont know if its a bug but the repair station doesnt repair any damage building. so what i do is to demolish the structure and build a new one. do you know why they arent repairing they just fool around
Haven't seen any updates from you for a while. Hope all is good. I have been struggling with keeping the happiness up as I have no idea what to do when it drops. Any tips?
Things have been okay. Thank you for asking. 🙂 When either the happiness, or health randomly drops in your settlement, that's a first sign that a shortage happened. Usually it's food, clothes, tools that could have ran out, but even something like running out of medical powder for your clinics is what dropped your health. Click on a Settler, and you'll see in their UI all the factors that go into their health and happiness. That way you can find what a settler needs to be happier or healthier. Hope that made sense. 😅
I tend to comment on old threads because I never buy new games. One of the good things about that is that if I need help I can wonderful threads like this one. Thanks, this is a big help.
You are correct, but this is known as Save Scumming. While everyone is free to play the game however they wish, I prefer to just let the game roll and accept whatever random things happen. Also, this gives me a chance to show what to do in case this happens in other's settlements. 🙂
Really enjoying this serie! As said, I love how in depths your playtrough are. Had settlements survival for a while and know a lot of stuff, but there's still room for improvement! As a side-note, now that they have changed how fuel consumption work, boiler's building (I have the game in french so I suppose it is the 'keep a zone warm building' name?) is an early game need. Instead of needing 4 to 5 fuel-production buildings only one to two is enough (Yeah, I learned that the hard way, RIP those first ten years of my settlement where people were dying of cold left and right and my fuel was always so low ).
