Problem with the video: + For UHF (FM) reception the external whip antenna is required - that's correct. + For LW and MW reception the built in ferrite rod can be used, and rotating of the radio may be needed - that's correct again. - For SW the built in ferrite rod provides reception, so rotation may be needed just as on LW and MW - that's false. On short waves the external whip antenna provides reception just as on UHF (or FM), so pulling out the whip is important. The company certainly knows this, probably the video maker mixed up the data. Since this is an educational/informative video, it's suitable for misleading novice radio listeners.
Good evening, I just bought it and I'm very happy. But it doesn't turn off completely, the screen is still on even if it hits OFF. How to turn off the screen completely?
I already purchased d109 from Amazon India. Still I tried to purchase d808 from xhdata website from India. But the charging port in website is micro USB whereas in Amazon it's type C. I need type C port. So please update the website with type C port d808 radio
XHDATA Radio: Great value for money!! Xhdata is indeed a very cost-effective radio. It is easy to operate and is also very suitable for children or the elderly.
I liked it so much bought two, one to give to a friend whose radio is very weak. The built-in lights are enough to go camping on and nice not to be an extra flashlight. The radio in this unit is very good for pulling out weak MW and SW signals the only addition that I could think of is the ability to have SSB capability. Thanks for making this portable emergency radio possible. 73! Have a great day!
