Update: after booking another BC ticket using Avianca miles, I could successfully book via the website. Seems only for the first booking, you need to go through the call center!
Sorry to hear the service was poor. At least that should be OK! But yes, the seats aren’t very good for BC. If Etihad is an option for you, I would pick them next time!
Since these A350 flight are pilot flights I thought it would be fair to expect it. By the way, also on the BC flight from Dubai to Mumbai, there wasn’t a kit! I assume on their ‘real’ flights starting to and from London, this would be the case!
I love Oman and Oman Air - I flew with them in business from Delhi to Muscat last December and I thought they were great. I entirely agree with you about airport wifi.

Thanks for your honest review. Where I come from, Emirates has one of the most affordable business class alternatives going to Europe. Maybe that is why we get seats like this. But compared to Qatar Airways, at least it isn't a lottery as to which seat configuration you'll end up with. That said, the main redeeming feature of Emirates flights is the onboard crew.
Very nice footage from your flight experience with the LH A380. I’ll be on the same route next Sunday only in the other direction but also in Business. It’s the first time after many trips on Emirates A380 Business and I was really looking forward to this experience with LH but now…hmm…hope it’s worth it.
You’ll be pleased to know that they are FINALLY starting to retrofit the 777s in their fleet to a 1-2-1 in business, which look lovely, but unfortunately that will probably take years due to the size of the Emirates fleet…😢
Ngl emirates is making their 777s have the a380 business class and there is also premium economy but they also need to give the a380s the b777s first class which is the game changer suite
can I ask when you flew on this plane? I see you had a real dish for your main course. My understanding is now they are serving PE meals in cardboard dishes sort of like regular economy.
