Looks easy enough and I’ve tried this a million times with all of that stuff in the video; the Baratza, Chemex, gooseneck kettle, scale, timer, everything. It never tastes right, or how it tastes at the hipster coffeehouses. I just don’t understand what I’m not doing correctly.
Just tried it after watching this video. Definitely better than all the past times i had tried it. It helped that you had the Baratza in the video showing the exact grind setting. Will keep practicing this.

Why wouldn't you pack a scale when you're driving? Only makes sense to leave it at home if you're backpacking, I mean you packed a table, the scoop, the funnel a freaking bicycle and what looks like a 2lb bag of beans into your hipster caravan , and you can't pack an iddy biddy little scale? Though (amazingly) the article "20 најбољих дизајна радног стола са сликама у Индији" includes a photo of a similar design (6. Ручно израђени дизајн дрвеног стоног сата) with the very same clock (but sadly, no branding). The clock face itself is most likely based off a Bauhaus design from the 1930s, now perhaps most famously associated with the NOMOS Tangente wristwatch.
