This bus belonged to a resort in the Poconos and was used by them for shuttles to the train station, church on Sundays and anything else that might require a bus. The original Buick 8 blew somewhere along the way and was replaced with a GMC V6 truck engine. The driver of the bus said it actually ran better with that engine in it. It was eventually donated it to a local Boyscout group. No one could drive it so someone else gave them a later model school bus and took the Flxible. Where it went after that I don't know until it showed up at the AACA Museum. It was originally navy blue. I don't know how the Kansas City paint scheme came about. I tried to buy it from the hotel several times but it wasn't for sale. Instead they donated it to the Boyscouts even though I had my name and number on file with the hotel's garage for years in case they ever wanted to part with it.
Scranton is one creepy city after dark. I remember walking downtown with a now ex back in October 2017. We walked from the Radisson Hotel to a pizza place down the street and it felt eerie! Lol
I was at the Hite Overlook last October. I enjoyed seeing what Hite looked like before it was evacuated. There's nothing there now. Thanks for sharing 😊
I agree I wish I would of never got stuck in this contract, the service is trash and the costumer support is worse their fix to everything is buy new phone, like you said eff them! When my contract ends I am done with them for good!
I was fortunate to fly with my late husband, who was a pilot in WWII, On the Concorde from N.Y. to London. He surprised me with the trip for my birthday.Valentines Day. Its an experience of rare air travel that we are deprived of now. What a pity. Its an aircraft of rare elegance and speed!
I have always lived near Heathrow and as a child and teenager I can remember Concorde flying overhead at 11am every morning. Everyone, and I mean everyone, would come outside to look up to the sky …. from shopkeepers, to people running into their gardens, it was magical. Wish someone like Elon Musk would bring Concorde back to our skies.
Concorde was the first airbus. The collaboration between the European countries continued after Concorde to what is now the greatest airline manufacturer on the planet. When i was canvassing for remain in the EU back in 2016, I always used Airbus as an example of how Europe is better together. Also if it wasn't for legendry left wing politician Tony Benn, Concorde would never have happened. Thanks Tony.
Absolutely outstanding video 👏 what an experience, you captured absolutely everything all us plane enthusiasts will never experience, but made is feel like we where on the flight! Hope you are keeping well 21 years later 👏☘️
At the very end of this video you stopped about 20 yards of the home that I grew up in. Amazing. The steep hill you came down was Frankstown road where I wrecked my car in 1957. Small World.
I had the opportunity of flying Concorde for £400 it was going to an airshow in Texas and I think they were just covering their costs. Sadly I didn't go.
Hello! I'm a ranger at GCNRA and was wondering if I could use clips of this for a presentation on river running in the Glen Canyon, both pre and post dam. It's amazing that this clip has so much information behind it, as well as being run by Ken Slight, ol' Seldom Seen himself. Please let me know.
