Very nice work I will have to forge one similar to this I like the concept. This whould save me time on doing the bohi on my tanto. Godbless and thank you for sharing your wisdom with us all.
Nice tool that you made. I’ll have to try my hand at it. What was the last wheel that you were using? Looked like sparks were coming off of it. Thanks for sharing. Joe from Wisconsin.
Why do you call it a fuller? It's actually more of a top swage, the hollows in the tool being much larger than the protrusions that separate the hollows. Those protrusions are the only things that even come close to a fullering action and are very tiny.
Thanks for the idea, as well as the technique. Nice approach to a tool I never knew I needed. The upsetting and the chamfers make the difference for continuity and consistency. Good stuff. Much appreciated. KK
Awesome project. Never would have thought about the split. I would be out in the forge hammering until my arm fell off. Remember it is not a mistake, it is making it unique, one of a kind.
It is used for smaller projects like a grill fork for instance that has too tight of a gap to work on the anvil face so the bridge helps get in the tighter areas. I'll be using it for a project in the near future !
Great video. I recently discovered your channel, and I really like your ideas, the way you forge, and how you talk to us like we’re just buddies in the shop with you. Keep it up!! 👏🏻
very nice...works a treat. I tried making a really silm one out of 1095 a couple of weeks back, made the heatreat too localised and when I hit it the end snapped off...swore a bit lol
