Welcome To my Aviation Channel - Heathrow Flyer! I am 17 Years Old and have visited 6 Continents as well as 45+ Countries. I really enjoying documenting and sharing my travels on RU-vid and having flown more than 250 times I can hopefully show my viewers and subscribers the amazing views from a plane and give them an idea of certain airlines and routes through trip reports. I try to take high quality footage and hopefully show people how amazing flying is and why i enjoy it!

Lol, you could in ANY moment get more drinks and food from bar but you would have to move your ass, second - how many movies and tv shows is enough? You scrolled and scrolled through the menu - if you watch a movie second time in your life it won't kill you. Third - LOT crew usually is really nice so maybe the problem wasn't the crew but a passenger asking for 1st class experience in economy class. And with frozen food - maybe it was a mistake? Or maybe you were such pain in the ass that it wasn't
Was on BA267 LHR-PDX on 8/25/2024. When I bought the tickets and selected extra cost seats, the plane was a 787-8. When checking in 24h before, the plane became a 787-10 so I changed my seats. When we got to LHR, the plane changed AGAIN to a 787-9 and my family was scattered into various seats. Why bother picking/pay for seats if all they do is change planes multiple times even within 24 hour of departure? Moreover, the plane was very very filthy.
Hey, great review! I share your opinion about LOT’s long haul product being outdated but decent. Fortunately the airline is aware of that and already declared a complete retrofit of their product(in their Dreamliners),within new cabin design, new flight entertainment system and internet. ;)
@@daylol2435 Thank you! Do you know when that is going to happen? LOT have some really competitive fares so would make it a decent option for long haul flights
@@HeathrowFlyerTakeoff Yes, their first Dreamliners with new interior will start flying from 2026. However, as for now it includes only 787-8 as they’re older machines. Their 787-9 will pass the retrofit in next years.
You had to pay for the seat reservation? On their website it says free seat selection is available at check-in, 36 hours prior to the flight. I'm flying with them next week and I'd really like to try and avoid paying extra for seat reservation if possible.
@@deniendelic2986 No it wasn’t available for free - you are allocated a random seat and then have to pay to change at check in. Keep in mind this was for the lowest Economy fare, so may be different for the booking you made
@@HeathrowFlyerTakeoff it is not true. Im a LOT frequent flyer, moreover I flew on their board 3 days ago and indeed the seat reservation is free during check in 36 hours before departure. However, when buying a ticket it is possible to do a paid reservation. ( And this is what you have done)
@@daylol2435 Nope, different because you are a Frequent Flyer or you didn’t go for the cheapest LOT Fare. I was randomly allocated a seat on the return flight where I didn’t already pay for it.
@@HeathrowFlyerTakeoff confirming that I was able to select my seat free of charge during check-in with the cheapest economy fare, no frequent flyer status or anything either.
I disagree there aren’t half the amount of delays and madness at Gatwick that you see at Heathrow, it’s about the right size for the amount of flights that come through and there’s just about enough facilities to keep you entertained before you get on your flight. Heathrow is much worse if you are not there on a good day!
I'm a regular traveller from LHR to Seattle as i have family in Washington state. I have travelled on 747, 772, 773 and 787-9. The 787-9 was the most uncomfortable economy experience i had. I much prefer the 777 seats.
I have noticed that BA have been flying older planes well above 20 years old.I flew on from Cyprus that was just over 25 years old and this one from years back was already 29 years old.Is that not a little too old for BA TO FLY?
Thank you! On AF/KLM are you aware if it is possible to choose your seat during online check in for free? The problem with BA is that this is not possible except at the airport (where it is too late)
