Those vinyl tiles look nice. Can you post the brand name, style and colour code? Maybe for future videos you could zoom into the box/tin of the products that you're using ?
Been in the game over 40years, always dealt with any potential hazard responsibly. Why any one wants to put this, everyday stuff out there. I, have no idea!!!
Nice job as usual, made me 😁😁😁 at the finish, AND telling some to do one (25:03)!! Seriously, you don't do it their way, it's a sin! Every time, regardless, read the instructions. And sometimes I'd silicone with the taps on, other times more convenient off. Up to you, job gets done. Time's something if you have it, if not then fair enough. Some just love to nit-pick. It should be standard for new builds with soil stack box-ins' to have a hatch built-in for access, makes so much sense. Was going to mention about the towel rail, but you've answered it already. 👍👍
Love proving people wrong. Thanks for the support mate. Atleast if your not going to put acces pannals in make sure it’s solvent not pushfit. What happened to making sure mechanical joints were accessible
Bathroom look great! Well done! You have said that you will mention the prices (video nr 1 comments). Gentlemen do not talk about the money, we definitely don't and should not know your profit on the bathroom, but could you say very roughly, how did you priced the each part job? As a day rate? That fix in a nearby room with access panel, I still don't know how to price that sort of extras and usually end up doing it for free :(
I didn’t charge them any more for fixing the leak as I think I’d caused it doing the first fix. In regards to pricing I usually work out how long roundly it’s going to take and charge a day rate plus materials and other trades. Then I’ll add a little extra on the end for profit if there room left for some
26p for 1x endfeed copper elbow in screwfix (pks 20) press fit elbows £1.98p each (10pk)... am I missing something here? Surely that money would be better in your pocket ?
Looks a nice job Macauley, I've been saying for years that i'm going to fit an access panel on my boxing in at my own house, but I've never got round to doing it, but after watching this I think I will do it soon.
Great job mate, really enjoying binging this channel last week or so. Have to ask though, why silicone the bath panel in? Customer request? Never understand it. Doesn’t look any better and makes it a pain to remove. Couple of capped screws against a batten makes more sense to me
Nice. Hope you get paid. Last B/r job I did, all reyt posh stuff. Customer tagged on tiling her hallway. Tagged on ceiling panels too. All porcelain tiles, large format. Pleading poverty and wants to drip feed payment. Just texted her, reminder... 4 hours ago. Oct 1st. send to bank. No reply. Rovvrum.
Normally need to leave around 30mm on but they do vary slightly, just don’t leave pipe flush with chrome barrels or they cut washer up when tightening…. But don’t cut short either cause ya ain’t soldering a coupler on 😂
Good brother i need plumbing work My age 19 years my name Abdul basit I'm full Master plumber 1 hours 2 eurose 💶 i m ready full agree please give me Visa please answer 🙏
Nice one. Can i ask would u get another pressgun over the RP115 if u choose again? Because i found it doesn't support the 28mm jaw and angle jaw. Thank you
For myself I only do domestic so don’t used much 28mm. The rp115 is significantly cheaper than others aswell. The angle jaws are a little bit of a problem but hopefully they bring them out soon in the uk as the already have them in America
This alarm system consists of two bicycle alarms that are sold on Amazon for 23.35 GBP. I simply stuck them to my van. One on each door. This works perfectly.
Why would "some people" not fit the middle leg ? You'd have to be a muppet not to, and always always always sit your bath on something to spread the weight, I like to use 4" by 1" screwed to the flooring then screw the bath legs to that
I'll only recommend connecting straight to the bath tap tails with your 22mm ONLY when you know for sure that in the future there will be ample space i.e no basin or pan restricting you so that you could go in and easily reach the pipes, cut and re-solder because each bath tap tails are going to be slightly different. Otherwise stick a full bore flexi on, also there's barely any difference with flow.
For the first time in history, Customer might be right! If that went on top of the carpet, the leg plates would've left those distorted lines. Keep up the brilliant work and uploads. Thanks
Pipework is shocking imo & why reduce it down to 15 surely that will affect the flowrate during bath filling . I appreciate the different process with press but thats no excuse for thrownh about 40 quids worth of fittings under the bath whilst doing it. Wheres the finesse and pride in your work. Thats site work standard . Just because no ones going to see it is no excuse. Its having pride in your work. As for mdf bath panel stop using them theyre a disaster , make one out of plastic
I prefer the composite one full waterproof and not flimsy at all. Don’t think it turned out bad at all the pipe work. There was max about £10 worth of fittings
@@SmartPipePlumbing if you think that the pipework turned out OK then that's concerning ! It was a new install where if you had taken the proper time to set it out you wouldn't have had that carnage of copper pipework and strangled fkexys . You'd of already known tbe limited space at the tap end available because the bath was on site. But you just do what you always do on nearly every bathroom I've watched, you make mistake after mistake because you're rushing and no forethought goes in. You're either pricing it soo tight so you end up throwing it in. Maybe how you view it is different because you've not been shown how it should be done with time planning and forethought & preparation. 1st fixing properly is paramount on any job . That's where you trip yourself up because you're always in a rush or don't have the materials so make do with what's on the van. You know you have jobs coming up so you make sure you're stocked up.
@@actorlyric alright mr perfect, mistakes happen and you learn from them. Everything does the work different. If I do it different to you that’s fine if you do it different to free down the road that’s fine. No one’s perfects everyone makes mistakes it’s about how you deal with them and move forwards. I don’t generally keep a stock on the van, not one that I keep up to as all the jobs I do vary that much. So I get what I need when I need it. Again it’s each to their own, if that’s how you run your business that’s fine but don’t come here criticising mine. Me making this sort of content isn’t for that. It’s for helping me learn and also maybe helping others, and also creating a community of like minded people.
@@SmartPipePlumbing I wasn't trying to be a smart arse far from it . I was lucky to work for a company that drilled it in to me about doing things properly and if I didn't then I had to rip it out and do it again even If a pipe had a ripple in it ! Yes I have the value of hindsight and nearly 50 years under my belt. Certainly doesn't make me the best or a know it all. I see a really good guy stepping out on his own which is hard enough. I was 26 and terrified when I did. I have had things beaten in to me on how things should be even if you can't see them. So over time I became a perfectionist because if i didnt do it properly id be ripped in to, which isn't a good thing I also had my dad who worked for an engineering company who worked to tiny tolerances and had to be spot on so I had that to contend with. I was once told a great installer can chuck it in but a poor one can't do it neat ! I worked during the housing boom in the 80's on new build & it was like the wild west I'd never seen anything like that in my life as it was literally chucked in. Radiators hung in the wall with cut nails , pipes in the tanks burnt through with pipe. Probably that's why I never made alot of money doing site work because I was too neat! I wasnt going to sacrifice what I'd been taught. My perfectionism also comes from at the time undiagnosed adhd for the past 63 years ! Now I let things slide just a little as I dont do the big jobs anymore I do more reactive as my back and knees are fcuked .
My pinhole leak from hot water pipe which destroyed a part of ceiling, fixed with a rothenberger kibosh emergency pipe repair kit. The pipe was in awkward area for guy to fix to replace pipe. So this was next best solution and it has worked. 👍😀😎🏴
Looking nice. Can you show some detail on the transtition between the tiles and the vinyl flooring when you get to that part? Do the tiles sit on top of the vinyl (for expansion) ? Thanks
@@stepbackandthink I think the flooring is going to be vinyl boards, not tiles, which normally would require an expansion gap depending on whether they were glued down or clicked together
People need to read the bath instructions, particularly when it comes to using the correct size screws for the leg brackets 😂😂 no one wants to see a screw coming through the bath now do we.🤔😜🥴
Bro 😂😂😂. I can't watch your videos. Mdf bath panel 😂. If you're recommending them you need to stop. Make your own. They need to be plastic. Last forever. Never fit the flimsy shit i Make my own.
@SmartPipePlumbing you have you just don't no it . They've just got someone else to come a replace it with something proper. Mdf and water mate come on . I've been doing bathroom 16 year high end bathrooms aswell you need to be able to guarantee your work. You can't with mdf on a bath
I'd genuinely be interested to see if the tiler is there tomorrow - no way thats gonna be dry enough to tile dude. Not hating either - decent watching (from a fellow West Yorkshire bathroom fitter 👊🏻)
I thought that while editing. But I can assure you they are. I think it’s just the angle of the camera. Definitely will be the first think I’m checking in the morning 😂
Which certification did you get or did you start as an apprentice please let me know. There’s the NVQ qualifications which I’m thinking about starting I’m 18 so I wana start and get into the industry asap please let me know brotha
