did no one realize that the rock sliders were installed upside down? Oh and I'm pretty sure the rear links backwards. Or was that a choice made in the video which I missed? Or was this already pointed out and I just gotta watch more vids? lol
I would recommend flipping the skids to the up position for more clearance. also battery in the front rather than the back is a must for correct CG. I have broken a ball cup both of my first trips out. I have since replaced the ball cups and balls with Axial Capra parts. for the front I used a 40mm X M4 turnbuckle with angled ball cups for the uppers, and 55mm M4 turnbuckle for the lowers, on the rear I used the stock linkage with straight capra ball cups. much more flex in the front suspension now. I am using TRX4 shocks all around with white springs in the front and green in the rear. the body mounts are so loose I couldnt use them. I ended up 3d printing TRX4 body post adapters I found online and they are excellent.
It last about 16-20 min, there is a limited universe of part for this platform, there are easy to get, yet if you are looking to upgrade a platform I would recommend to go for an arena, Traxxas or something like that
An I really like the axles you can make them portals that's what I didn't do I f9 Currie offset portal axles Capra axles and now I have to get me a straight set now they are built great my friend
I have the Trx4 hightrail and both Trx4m the little trucks are equally amazing the Bronco area 51 knockout looking truck the Bronco crawls better less body weight especially back Land rover more tippy but good side hilling up hill Bronco excellent 👌 Traxxas has some great products now waiting 1 6 scale crawler from Traxxas 🎉

Thank you so much for this series. I'm about to go through this same build process after I purchased a used and very very abused SCX10.2 that I'm now rebuilding. Thank you thank you thank you

Great build with some great parts. Came out really good. Just wanted to point out you have the grill installed upside down the reason why there's that grap between the hood an grill. Also have the roof on backwards, the curved end goes up front. Just giving you a heads up. Like yr channel and great builds!!
Thank you friend, and you are right, it was upside down, yet , I corrected the mistake and you can see at the running time that the gap is gone, 😃 thank you for watching friend and pls subscribe 😉👍
I did almost the same thing. I used the furitek cedar motor and a different servo. I put the battery inside the cab behind the transmission, it's a bit fiddly getting it in there but it looks nice not seeing the battery. Oh I also added underdrive in the back and overdrive in the front, it's my favorite small crawler now.
I thought to do the same thing with the battery, yet I decided to go in this way to easy access to it. Thank you very much for your comment friend!!!! 😃👍 and thank you for watching, pls subscribe to my channel
Great video bro. So nice it has instructions…. Saw u on face book can I get a sub bro I been bashing and just got into the micro crawlers and now I’m hooked.
Thank you for watching friend!!!! Micro Crawlers are great!!!! I truly enjoy them, I am a SCX24 building project in my pipeline, that is also a great platform for play with 😃 pls subscribe friend 😉
It is not better, in the part 3 of the series you will see that I had to replaced those links and use standard ones, thank you for watching friend, please subscribe 😃👍
Im just building the same chassis so these tips are great thanks. I have both 540 and 550 motors so I will ise the 540 as recommended. I also don't like those weird top links. Im looking for an alternative even if I have to go longer. Off to watch part 3 to see how you complate the build, thanks again
Excellent review and installation video. A viewer suggested removing the brass covers in the rear, you might also look at limiting straps up front to help keep it from unloading and shifting so much weight to the rear on climbs. Thanks for sharing, subscribed. Have a blessed day.
