They are sometimes based at RAF Fairford in the UK. The base is used by some USAF personnel and aircraft as part of their European operational activities.

Back in the late 80’s I worked close to Dyess AFB in Abilene Texas. They had an observation area by the runway. Some days I’d take my lunch to work and park in that observation area and watch either B-1 or C-130. B-1 is really loud. It would shake your car as they went by. Loved it.
