Hi friends! We are Lori and Justine coming to you from the Skein Yarn Shop in East Greenwich, RI. We started this podcast over two years ago and we love to get together *regularly* to share what we have been working on, what is new in the shop and some of what our friends make for us! We are two avid knitters, and Justine sometimes dabbles in crochet. We love hearing from you all about what you are making and your new favorite yarns! We are so grateful for the community we have here at Skein and we hope you enjoy being a part of our little corner of RU-vid with the Skein Scoop Podcast!
Oh you guys - HELLO - Love you! Been watching from the very beginning of course!!🥰 And yay - us process knitters with a million WIPs have to stick together 🤣 Stick with it Lori - your mojo will come back. Make a mohair scrunchie - it will help!
I’ve been watching since the 1st episode 😊 and egg salad is something I only started to like as an adult. The turnout at the shop for Max and Vincent was great and I’m certain it will be just as much fun for Kevin and Ray’s trunk show.
Love your podcast! Have been watching forever!! Here is a super great video on fixing brioche mistakes…..maybe it will help? Nancy Marchant is great!! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-_7Mb4wCG3aM.htmlsi=u5Y0nQ_SkNGMgUmI
I have listened to you from the beginning. Although I have the good fortune to live at the beach in SC, I do not have a LYS. Some day, I am going to visit yours. As for egg salad……absolutely not!
Always time well spent, ladies! Thanks for the smiles and inspiration. I've been here from the start, even before you bought the shop, Lori. Stay well ladies and knit on.
You two are so fun! I love your casual podcast! I've been watching for the last year and so enjoy you! Lori, you are so lucky to have your daughter and grandson only 20 minutes away. My daughter and her family are 1 1/2 hours away, and my son and his family are 10 hours away! :( Justine, I love hearing about your adorable children! As for knitting--I love that Salty Days Sweater. I just added it to my list! Lori, I'm so sorry about the dye lots on your sweater--so sad! Justine, you said you love brioche--I would suggest the Rambler shawl. As for the Olympics, I agree about the lovely comraderie among the athletes. And, Sharks Under Paris sounds hysterical!!
Lori, your Outline Tee should be on display in the shop. It's the perfect opportunity to help others avoid this common error. Been watching for 2 years. Always an enjoyable podcast.
Hello, from Barbara in Happy Valley, Oregon. I'm not sure how long I've been watching, but, it's been a long time of fun and information!!! I love, love egg salad!!! Mom made tuna and egg salad regularly and us 3 daughters loved it. I love morning toast with some egg salad on top of it. YUM.. LOVE the man in the background.. so funny. do it again, please, that was so cute. Beautiful garments, lovely fun talks...
I love watching you two. You keep me inspired, even when my crojo and knitjo are lacking. I’d love to come down when Knitty Natty and Kent are there so I could meet you all at the same time. The bags are so cool! I love the purple and orange splash. The colors are amazing!💜🧡💗. And, Team Eggsalad. 😂😂
Loved this episode - as always❤️ Finished a Shrug Hug while watching and have a new project to start - with our Gilded Age yarns - thanks to you ladies and your constant inspiration. Cath and I will see you on October 2nd - when we come up for the Newport Concours🎉🎉🎉 Oh and by the way, if knitting was an Olympic sport, you would tie for the gold medal😘
Been watching for about a year, I think. I learned about you from Kevin and Ray's podcast....or I learned about them from yours (I can't remember which!). Love your podcast!
I went back to look at my viewing history and it appears that I discovered your podcast 9 months ago & I haven’t missed an episode since! I’ve never had a long stretch where I’ve lost my knitting mojo but I’m multi-craftual. So I may switch to crochet or spinning or weaving when the mood strikes. Though knitting is my first & deepest love and I always return to it.
I found your podcast episode 18 but I loved it so much that I went back and watched from episode 1. I'm always so happy when a new one comes out and I especially love it when they're long ones. It's like hanging out with friends!
I like egg salad if I make it myself. I think it's better if the eggs aren't completely mashed up into paste....because that is horrific. It's like already been chewed egg salad lol
ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-khXgPOLefGc.htmlsi=IlWQLEB1V1mp1PFC ⬆️ identical Love you two ladies! Great way to start the day with my coffee and your podcast!
Good to see you guys! I knit all year round and the mojo is always with me. the downside is it’s hard to get any housework done! I’ve been watching since the Yarn Shop Girls. So I remember Lori joining them and then I became a fan of your current podcast. Starting to feel like a stalker here! 💜 And meeting you guys at Wool and Folk last year is still a highlight for me. It was great hanging with Lori at that nearby cafe. We were the knitting friends from Virginia. 🙋🏽♀️💜
I have been watching for about a year and loving it! I have back-watched( if not a verb it should be!) every episode which are so inspiring and funny. Egg salad is GROSS, looks and smells like something somebody has already eaten and "rejected" if you know what I mean. Stay strong, school will be starting soon Justine.
Loved the episode! My knitting mojo was lost for a bit, but I got a recharge after a gathering with knitting friends. Have watched you since Kevin & Ray mentioned you last year. I wish I was local to your shop! I’ll bring the egg salad 😉
Hi Lori and Justine! This is such a great episode, you are really entertaining and authentic and I can relate to you both. Lori, I too have lost my knitting mojo and it took months to get it back. Maybe yours will come quicker. I've watched you from the very beginning and you are my favorite. Identical...the hilarious My Cousin Vinny Movie which never get old.
Hi Lori and Justine, Happily a long-time follower! Thanks for another enjoyable and inspiring episode! " Identical " is from the great movie " My Cousin Vinny"!!! You are both so funny! Wishing Ben a speedy recovery...Michael too!!! Lori to get your "mojo" back you need to knit something for your grandbaby!!! Happy Knitting 🧶!
I learned about your podcast while I was watching one of Kevin and Ray's videos. After I watched the one that was your most recent (at the time), I went back and watched them all from the beginning.
I didn’t quite catch the name of the yarn you’re using to knit your lovely socks. Could you please post the name? Thank you so much. Love you guys. Watching from Manitoba, Canada
I ADORE EGG SALAD. I am however, picky about it, lol. I’ve only been crocheting since October, but I discovered y’all quickly! I back-watched (is that a term/verb?) to catch up when I first joined you. Always great to see you gals! ☺️🫶🏻🧶🥚🥗
I’ve only watched you for like 6 months but since I discovered you I’ve rewatched every episode 3 times!! Love your rapport so much! Also love egg salad, sorry❤
Love listening to you two, no matter what you're talking about. Seeing the wall of yarn behind you is also very inspiring. I find myself mentally putting together combinations. So many patterns, so little time! Both of your Pressed Flowers cardigans are beautiful.
Hi ladies ! I’m in Missouri. I wanted to know if I call the store can you help coordinate yarn for a project ? I have a hard time seeing the yarn and comparing for it to go together. Thank you snd I love watching the show!
@@carolb8073 hi Carol! We can absolutely help you over the phone and even by Zoom if you don’t FaceTime! Please call us! We love helping people pick out yarn for their projects. Thank you so much for watching. We’ll look forward to your call! 🥰🥰🥰
@@TheSkeinScoopPodcast :-) my podcast is called "strik og sludder" wich can be translated into Knitting and chatting. It is in danish only unfortunately ( my english is too rusty I'm afraid ) and I've been podcasting for five years now. Had my podilaeum last month. I really enjoy the two of you just chatting away like I myself do, and of course to see all the knitting you produce.
Great podcast, beautiful yarn and love the chat time. don't change. :). Happy news about daughter and family moving closer.. YAY for all. Love you guys..
