You two are simply the best! You’re like the yin and yang to each other. I thoroughly enjoy your podcast, regardless of length. With each podcast, I plan how I’m going to visit in the summer 2024. Lori, if you ever need a travel buddy in 2025, please keep me in mind (seriously) 😊.
I loved your nice, long podcast. Lori, I can completely relate to the sleeping issues!! I think I got 4 hours of sleep last night! Thank you for the recap of VKL. I have never gone, but would love to. Is it similar to Stitches? Justine, your break in video was HYSTERICAL!! Your son sounds like a complete kick!! Can't wait for next time!
Lori, thanks for sharing your VKL trip. Sounds like a fun time. I was at the very first one and it was awesome. The fashion show is amazing. I hope someone posts it online.
VKL was fun. You do pay for the market place either way. I took classes and paid $25 for the weekend. I agree with the discounting prices. I registered for classes in the first week and then they discounted them…not happy about that. I like that it was not terribly crowded. I really enjoyed myself and was sorry to have missed seeing you! I too could just hand out at the hotel the whole weekend!
Running commentary as I watch… 😂 Very excited for the trunk show - great way to kick off Feb vaca! Ooh, I’m dying to try Camellia’s alpaca/silk/cashmere base…last year at Vogue I resisted on Sat, then decided to treat myself on Sun but the colorway I wanted was sold out! Mmm, I want to go to the Mexican restaurant. Aaah, Justine’s gift is so pretty! Oh boy, I think Vogue is going to be dangerous on my wallet just from the things you’ll be bringing in from it…I love Wandering Flock! Couldn’t find a video of Daniel doing that song, but got sucked down a rabbit hole of others from the show, and now I really need to go see it! 😂
Another fun podcast! So happy you are doing a trunk show with Hope made Yarn and Keisha jewelry! Love those two. Have ordered from both and beautiful yarn and beautiful jewelry. Only wish I could come but live in Tucson.
Great podcast! Great filming Harrison... loved that video so much. MORE please. I love rambling, natural podcast, couldn't be better. So enjoyable!!! :). what a great trip for you, Lori. Beautiful yarn for Justine, I love it! knit and purl earrings, how wonderful. I want a pair!! And, I love your earrings, Justine. want them, too, LOL!!! can't wait for another podcast!! sending love, hugs, prayers.
Laughter is the best medicine…..particularly when it’s a full on belly laugh!😂😂😂😂 Is Harrison already scoping out college/film schools? What a perfect way to start my Thursday! Thank you!!❤ I think I started watching after a ‘referral’ from Gina of SkeinCocaine.
I love your podcast. You two crack me up. Mission Impossible was sooooo fun. My daughters are now 21, 22 and 23 so I don’t have to plan little girls birthday parties anymore but can I just join you in saying “I hate birthday parties” too. I’m an organizer but I still despised planning birthday parties and graduation parties and a bridal shower, etc. etc. etc. Forget the parties. I just want to knit 😂 I’m from Lancaster County, PA so you are a bit far to just drop in your store. Boohoo. Maybe someday I’ll travel north.
Love the yarn from CFC!! Silbia dyes a really beautiful palette ❤ and I need one of those bags! Did you say we could eventually order the crossbody strap?? Lovvvve!
I just started my sweater!!! I would wait for the next batch of bags, Danielle, because at least some of them-if not all of them-will have the loops attached for the straps and I’m going to get the straps also. Hope to see you soon, mama! ❤❤❤
Hello ladies! It took me a few tries to get through this episode!! LOL.....I haven't been to VKL since before Covid. I hope to be by this weekend...not sure which day. I am still healing from my surgery and it'll be the longest trip I've taken since before surgery.....but I'm walking without assistance and most of my pain is gone...so there is that! So hope to see you at some point this weekend.....
Hilarious! Right before I started watching the podcast this evening I was on the Four Purls website ordering the Smalls for my Jelly Roll blanket - I was searching for green shades - and, Justine, I was doing the same thing - if something looked green I clicked on it, then either added to cart or not. I did have a little more patience though and chose only if I really knew what they looked like. Too funny.
Enjoyed your podcast and recap of VKL. I attended in 2019 and had a great time! What is the name of the cuticle cream you talked about? I didn't see it in the show notes.
Hi Lisa-it has been on my to-do list for weeks to check in with Nina at Atenti to get more of those bags, so keep an eye out! I think I’m going to have to order a bunch of them! ❤❤❤
Hi! An advent in yarn terms is a set that people put together where you open up a package every day leading up to a holiday... could be Christmas Advent (just like chocolates that people open every day in December) or even A Halloween Countdown box where you open one a day leading up to Halloween. We each got different advents from different yarn dyers. Hope this answers your question!
