I wish they did like the PSP games and seperated the selection cursor and attack button. It was so nice to be able to attack an enemy WHILE scrolling down and using a healing item or spell.
"He was the headmaster, it seems" oh golly no, but he was respected enough by the school that they gave him his own personal lab when he was still a student. Turo could barely run a lab--entrusting him with an entire school would be a *woeful* mistake. Clavell moved HIS office into the old lab. Though I wonder where Harrington's office had been (the prior headmaster, you may remember him from the Star plot). Trading the Guardians of Paradise knowing they killed someone seems like a prisoner exchange.
The ending of this game made me so sad that I couldn't play for a few months. I felt so bad for the AI that I felt *sick*. This clearly sapient being with emotions, so utterly betrayed by his creator and used as a mindless marionette for a vicious security system that would have overtaken everything and being forced to wield the creature that killed that creator in the first place...and then being forced to leave the entire era when he'd just met the son that he clearly cares for himself, not just relaying his creator's memories. And even if he's safe and the crystals on him can keep him powered, even if he gets to be a "free adventurer", he's going to be *alone* until he breaks down. It's such a tragic fate and it depressed me more than Arven's actual plot.
Yoooooo that Miror B theme Shakespeare would be much later than medieval times. I thiiiiiink Elizabethan era is considered early modern English. Pokémon Fire Emblem? Let me ask you--have you ever heard of Pokémon Conquest? I'm glad to see a player exploring the school because oh god so many people ignore that part if the game even though it's a huge repository of lore. Your instincts about Charcadet make so much sense. Even though I know it's ultimately incorrect, I can follow your thinking. Funnily enough the SV Pokémon I think most looks like a Digimon is Smoliv, because it looks like Datirimon. It's really funny everyone pointing out that MC Sledge (and the rest of his trainer class) looks like Charlie because he HAAAAATED this game. I'm surprised you didn't show the reaction to the revelation of Star's motivation and how they got seen as villains in the first place. Amoongus has been around since gen 5
I love how everyone starts this game with such a sparkle. "Yaaay adventure open world flamingos parrots new Tauros dragon bike hot professor yaaaaay" and by the end it's all "WHY DOES EVERYTHING HURT WHY AM I CRYING AT A GAME FOR SMALL CHILDREN"
I hadn't played the game in like 15 to 20 years checked the ps2 game and memory card still has my saves with lvl100 rebought on steam and replaying it now
