Therma-Tru internal blinds SUCK!!!!! I have to replace the glass insert at $450/pane. Do NOT do business with Therma-Tru…..there is no warranty for 5 y.o blinds. THEY SUCK.
Also my flange is even height with my ceramic tile floor so what does Danco have to say about this concern?? Respect Animals 3 years ago Two big dislikes. My flange is flush with my floor so I didn't use the blue adapter as per the instructions. My toilet rocked side to side so I removed the toilet to take out the black insert (also as per the instructions) and was shocked to see how much paper thin wax was pushed downward beyond the horn & ready to go down the drain. I'm glad I saw it in time. -- By the way, the rocking continued after removing the black insert. Perfect Seal was about an 1/8 inch too tall for my flush to the floor flange & my 2019 Toto toilet # C454CUFG. I went back to a regular wax ring and the toilet sat flush on the floor.
I buy the seal work perfect ...I have a flenge a lot above the floor I take out the black rigid part inside and fit very well here in Canada it is 17.95$ + tax but it still a must
I've used this product in the past and they are Fantastic...❤ Just pulled up a toilet for tiling and it looks Great after a couple year's with No Wax Mess...👍
Let's face it, the wax rings suck, they only last about 5 years and leak, I was able to use this on one toilet that the flange was a bit below the floor, it's working great without the blue ring, and inner black piece, but the toilet with the flange above the floor didn't sit flat. Sadly, I will be redoing it with a wax only ring.
This is an AWESOME product. I used this on a toilet in my home and it is legit. The best part of it is that if you don’t have the toilet in the right position, you can reposition it without worrying about the seal. I would recommend this product to anyone.
Waste of time and money. This weekend replaced my toilet that had the flange on top of the tile. Toilet sat too high. I got no “Perfect Seal” on my toilet. There was no info in the instructions about removing the black plastic piece. Uninstalled the toilet and used a traditional wax ring. Problem solved. “Perfect Seal” now resides in the trash 🗑! 😣
1:50 - Hillbilly Super Mario points out that the width is greater than the traditional wax ring. This is obviously false if you look at the inner diameter. This is the only knock of the Perfect Seal that I have is that the inner ring diameter is pretty small compared to other products. Otherwise, was fantastic for my application as noted in my other comment. My pipe diameter was similar to the Perfect Seal. (Also, I say Hillbilly Super Mario endearingly! 🙂)
This was great for my application. My floor around my toilet is not level. Big hump on the right side and the back left corner slopes away. Almost impossible for the toilet to sit flush on the flange and be level without shimming. I replaced my original toilet with a new toilet a year or two ago and used a standard wax ring. I decided to install it flush on the flange and leave it unlevel. Great seal, but you could tell the toilet wasn't level when you sat on it. The other day we put new flooring in, so we had to pull the toilet. Used a standard wax ring again and decided to level it this time. With all of the rocking and lifting to level it, I must have broken the wax seal and it leaked. I decided to give this one a try. This was great for when I was shimming the toilet level, since no matter how much I lifted and repositioned the toilet, the rubber gasket will still be sealed on the toilet. My flange (looks like a repair flange) sits at least 1/4 inch above the floor, so I took out the blue extender and took out the black insert before even trying it once. Seems to have worked so far!
Ya, always easy servicing a never-used brand new mower. I did buy the kit. The instructions are not that great, but it's simple enough to figure out. The pump emptied my John Deer riding mower in just a couple minutes. The container is very small, however. Better for a push mower than a large rider.
Used perfect seal this past weekend on an old flange that was cracked and all ready have a repair plate attached to it. Worked out pretty good as the metal repair plate was not level to begin with so knowing that it extruded into all the gaps should provide a better seal over time. The only thing I did not like about this product was the small black insert, I could not tell if it was sealed with that in there. So I took it out as the directions said. But once i put the toilet back down, I really couldn’t tell if I had a good seal or not. I’ve used the danco hydro seal for a broken flange on another toilet and that one you could tell that it seals and gives a good suction sound.
I just placed the whole sponge in there got my hand around the bend and kind of set it in there seems to work fine the water can soak into it leak out or go around it but that drip is gone thank God
Probably you should have used a mower that has had a number of mowings and dirty oil. I ordered one of these today and I sure hope it works properly. My mower is designed in such a way that oil do go everywhere except in the oil container.
They never mention that you have to remove the black plastic "funnel" inside of the grey rubber area before installing. I saw this on another video earlier today. The instructions that come with the unit doesn't mention that either. That may be a reason I saw a bunch of units that looked like they were returned. Edit: Just saw another video and apparently the black "funnel" is removed if the toilet doesn't sit flush on the floor. Again, this wasn't in the printed instructions that come with the unit. Where's the quality control?
I installed the blue piece onto the toilet and then set the toilet. The blue piece is a snug fit and I feel it was better to be sure it was seated correctly. I think this is a great product.
