Billy Corgan is an annoying c*nt .smh..sour tw@t. "I Courtney told me Kurt didn't like the video too much" why would you say that.. anyway Metallica are brilliant playing those riffs from other songs 👍🏻💯🎸
4:04 John Frusciante is such a funny weird guy looking like a black metal member but playing the funkiest guitar for 30 years now. I so agree with what he's saying about Kurt's voice. I always feel his screams resonate in my own throat. And there was a time that John Frusciante felt Nirvana was the lamest thing around, guess he didn't really had time to listen to it when they were touring together in 1991
Billie Corgan lol. Always salty. A true genius in his own right but was always and will always be jealous of Kurt. Nice to see John actually be a real fan and truly understand Nirvana and not be some fly by night fan. I grew up to Nirvana. Will always be my favorite hand and that will never change. Kurt was a true artist through and through and brilliant
Idk, I just find Kirk Hammets story of him slightly unbelievable. Like really dude? '92...He actually went out of his way to go to a Metallica show in Seattle and was in you guys' little "snake pit" (whatever the hell that meant) on the stage and was yelling and waving his hands around like a wild fan to you bro? Really? Hoping you'd play "WHiplash" Hmm...Interesting.
Tom Petty was and still is a TRUE TROUBADOUR. He will be remembered for being a great human being, an amazing lyricist. When listening to TomPetty and The Heartbreakers the relation to the meaning of this bands music completely is relatable to most people. I love the era of GRUNGE but really didn’t connect to that label of this style of music. What it did in my view was completely energize us all. I simply loved it all. Alice and Chains, Soundgarden, Pearl Jam will always be favorite bands for me. RIP Layne Staley and Chris Cornell. DAMN IT! We could have had so many more great songs from those guys.
Music is surely generational but Grunge was a little different. It didn’t come from the mainstream. It came from people who were seeing a change in American society and the fact generation x was being alienated by the boomers who wanted to stay young and relevant. Broken families, broken careers, broken promises. The American dream was impossible to obtain. The serious excess and material and narcissism of the boomer generation had a serious impact on what going on. Grunge was very much political.
Thanks this kinda confirms my theory that a lot of Nirvana songs would be punk rock if sped up. The argument are they punk or are they grunge? Both! They are both!
Aside from dear old Kirk here, can anyone actually substantiate Kurt’s apparent “ love” for Metallica? I find it hard to believe from everything that I’ve heard and read about Kurt, that he actually liked (let alone loved) Metallica. He hated metal heads and metal in general. I was made to understand he thought it was below the kind of music Nirvana made and were into..
I remember hearing about his death on the radio and it was such a shock I had listened to never mind the night before coincidentally. There will never be another talent like him.
Nirvana came in at the right time and they changed it all ...nothing has came along since that has been that explosive ..I was 13 going into 9th grade when they broke ...all my 80s metal records went out the window ..when you come from a fucked up childhood , nirvana just spoke to me ..Kurt got it ..will never be anybody who will do that again
