Bro ur da man ty for sharing this video I've been wanting a chatterbait lure for a long time now I have everything else lol but all in all great video bud and explained it easily and perfectly
In the opening of your beautiful video I noticed you said down here in Alaska in well I need to tell you we are not down here from anything we are up here from everything LOL
Братан, ручки у этой катушки стоят неправильно. По пальцам получить очень легко. Вы там в этом деле не очень понимаете...Ручки должны подальше от обода стоять...
I bought my Gf and myself one of this late winter. I finally got me so I dont get the rats nest....UGH. The Gf, not so much....I spend most of my time unwinding the rats nest...fishing is not fun....
Centrepins are actually designed for trotting not casting. I have mine set up the "wrong" way with the line coming off the top which makes it easier to control by thumbing the reel. Mine's a 5.1/2" handle-less version so I just stick my finger in one of the holes to wind in or simply bat it.. It has a long stem so it's easy to get your fingers in between the rim and the seat
If you are open to a suggestion for better tasting catfish….remove the middle blood line when you’re filleting it, so it won’t taste like the bottom of the river. Also when cutting off the skin you want to cut about 1/8 inch up off from the skin to get rid any side fillet red blood lines.
I just can't get myself to eat this thing. They are ugly, slimy and those long things that I think are their whiskers or whatever they're called makes them look like some kind of martian alien fish. I just don't get how people can eat this thing. I know the jews won't eat it too because I guess they think it's dirty.
Can you explain your set up? I run a basspro rt3 10’ 6” 1-6 lb for rainbows and a lamiglas redline 12’ for salmon, both equipped with okuma aventa 1002’s and a Abec-7 bearing upgrade. I hammer the silvers with soft beads and have been doing it for years, I first started bead fishing on trout than it evolved into salmon fishing.
Just bought an islander steelheader...bait casted salmon my hole life..I'm a lefty thank you !! In the back yard I go lol..just bought it yesterday and practiced for about 30 minutes..not much success
Thanks for the Demo Video! I just bought an Okuma Raw II -1002 yesterday to put on my 4 piece Amundson 13 ft Kudos Laredo Float rod, that I've been using a Mitchell 300 spinning reel on it until I could afford a Centerpin. I just have to get some line and do a few practice casts in the yard before embarrassing myself in front of all the Centerpin Pros! Maybe throw a peanut on the line and catch a squirrel for practice fight! (Just kidding, Karen) Any recommendations for what line(s) to use? Quality line, but not crazy expensive. I use SpiderWire on the spinning reel with flourocarbon leader, is that okay for Centerpin? Is the "Backing Line" just to fill up the reel or is there a greater purpose? Sorry for all the questions, thanks in advance!
