what power n action rod do you recommend with the size 6 hooks in michigan tribs? everyone says med and up but my buddy runs a one of the lights we use for steelhead beacuse he says anything heavier n he loses a lot of them.. idk if i wanna use my steelie rod for kings. i was thinking about ML maybe a medium, moderate action 10 footer. any info would be appreciated

Vin, we have a cottage in Ada on the Grand River. The grand is quite wide where we’re at and is a bit intimidating to fish for a beginner. Is 6th street and the Rockford dam a good place to start? We’re going to be fishing all day Saturday and aren’t 100% sure where to go yet. Any help is appreciated!
Vin The Fishing Man we went to 6th street in the morning and saw two fish caught all morning... around 12 I went to Rockford and by then it was probably too late in the day because I didn’t see anything there either.

I see people fishing in the no fishing section Downstream with then distance of the fish ladder. Is that area still off-limits to fishing or has it been removed?
