@erichester9076 a few miles on some pavement will tell the tale. Just look at the wear patch and make sure the entire tread is contacting the ground. Just play with it 👍
Yeah, high and low suck pretty bad. At this point I just use my low beams during the day to be seen by others better (LED's in low beam lights) and the light bar at night. I don't use the high beams at all, they're pretty much useless.
I don't understand why helmets are required for UTVs. Mine has a full roll cage and I have a 5 point harness. It is the same setup as my Jeep. No helmet is required for my Jeep but I'm supposed to wear one in the UTV. Why?
I came back to your channel to source a cargo box for our trails. I thought that I had previously seen a Husky tool box in your unit, but I could be wrong. I was disappointed to see that you had a Ryfab box in the back, but thats my opinion. Aside from the kings ransom they charge for it and after the horrible experience I had with Ryfab products and their go F yourself customer service, I wouldn't cross the street to do any business with them or ever recommend them to any atver I might meet. Anyway, I totally agree about the Terra Bite tires. They are awesome all around performers and a good value to boot. The mud flap addition is a must. It doesn't take long for the tail lights to get encrusted with crud and the mud flaps really help with that. Lastly, the Seizmic Mirrors are a must over the poor Can-Am mirrors and those folks stand behind their stuff.
I never had a husky box. I bought the Ryfab box as soon as it came out back in 2018. Back then they were “reasonably” priced compared to other options and their quality was outstanding. Fast forward a few years and their prices skyrocketed, their quality went to shit, and their waiting list was ridiculous. I haven’t recommended Ryfab for years because of this. But at the time and the price I paid I would buy this box again. It’s amazing. Ryfab is no more. They closed their doors a while back. There was talk of RMATV absorbing the brand, but apparently that didn’t happen. Supply chain issues, personnel issues, among other things killed of the brand, along with many other self inflicted problems.
In about twenty thousand miles off road with various tires I've never had a flat. I have always run sealer and used about one and a half times the recommended amount. I'm on terrabyte aramids now. So far I really like them.
These will be my next set on our CForce 500's. We ride hard pack/ rocky in our area of the Black Hills. Will keep you posted on their performance. Great vid!
You guys have gone to some amazing places and shown us some amazing trails and scenery. I’m going to go ahead and say that in my opinion, this one has been the best. The scenery and sheer beauty of what you captured in this one is purely stunning. Wow. As always, thanks for taking us all along.
Loved the acoustic guitar track you used on this one. It fit the scenery perfect, mellow, yellow...... Q: How did you pull off that shot of both of your driving through that sweeping turn? ...I watched it before hand, and was pointing out the shot to Becky (as it must have taken a lot of effort to set that one up) when she said ...but the camera pans with them??!! .......do you have a new toy? did Frankie shoot it? ...curious minds want to know ;-) ...regardless another great video, can't wait to see some of this in person.
Nothing tricky about that shot, but I guess I should explain it. Our youngest son was with us on that trip riding in the SXS with Suzanne and Frankie, so in that shot Suzanne was behind the camera and my son was driving. He even ran the camera on a few occasions. I think the gimbal is capable of programming a shot like that, but we don't have the time to read the instructions or to figure it out 🤣
Great video as always, watching these videos makes me want to get a 50” machine. Quick question, why take the 4-wheeler? Two machines in case of a breakdown?
Thank You ! My wife and son (and the dog) were in the SXS, so no room for me. Plus I really enjoy my ATV now and then. Plus, yes, having a second vehicle always brings peace of mind.
I stayed at the same place that you started at. I remember some of the trails you showed. It is a beautiful place to be and see. My friends and I did just over 600 miles down there. We camped out on the trail for 5 nights. I want to go back and do the trip again since there is so much to enjoy. Thanks for sharing I love your stuff.
Before I bought my 50” side by side in 2020 I did a lot of searching. I had a 3 ATV 49:56 arctic cats and my wife and I enjoyed them for years. Then I had one roll on me. When we got that thing home I wanted something with a roll bar. I found your videos and decided on the can am maverick trail. We have been very happy through the years with it . I have also purchased a lot of the extras you have on your can am. I am retired now and have more time to ride. I’m looking into the trailer you have. I have a question though. I would like to add a roof top 2 man tent to it. Do you think it would work well? I’m older than you and if I can I would enjoy making my camping as easy as possible yet still be able to go? I'm very glad to hear that you are enjoying your Maverick Trail 👍 Unfortunately I don't thing the trailer would be strong enough to hold up a roof top tent. It's just aluminum pieces welded together. It's well built for what it is, but it just doesn't have (what I think) is enough internal framing and bracing to hold up a tent.
