Howdy folks glad you found this channel i post thing mainly about 3D rc plane flying as well as vintage glow four stroke engines and a tiny bit of full scale mixed into the channel any hooo hope ya enjoy.
Hi Miller RC, great video really enjoyed. You deserve millions of subscribers. Can I ask you something? Video quality is superb, what camcorder do you use. Thanks Angel
@@givdulsen switched to these and a servo wheel. Screwed the arm to the wheel. gator-rc.com/gator-rc-hardware-25mm-1-inch-one-sided-carbon-fiber-servo-arm
Just bought the version one. You said that those carbon rods could come loose after some hard flying with it. Do you know a good solution to fix it if it happens?
@@givdulsen I’d just put some thin CA on em whenever they came loose. Or every maintenance inspection I’d hit them with CA. I’d imagine stuffing some fiberglass in the joint’s would help quite a bit. Maximum Over Fly TH discord.
Long time ago, approximately 40 years ago when I was around 10, my father built that exact same kit. He and I both loved it, but it had a bad tendency of bouncing on landing, flipping over on its top wing, and sliding to a stop upside-down. I remember my dad recovering the top wing many times. He had to add a lot of weight to the tail I believe to get it to balance, and he thought that may have been to problem. He always said a "3 point landing" was the only way he could get it to not do it. I have loved watching these videos. Brought back some good memories... Thank you for that.
Hey Tyler, outstanding Waco work my man! It's looking awesome and all the thought and effort you put into it is showing! Look forward to the maiden flight my friend! Thumbs up!
Heh good luck finding one as the title mentions this kit is from the 1980s so it’s way out of production. They occasionally pop up on eBay but you have to pay an arm and a leg for em. Your best bet is to get ahold of the plans and have a kit cutter cut out all the parts for you.
If you are looking for one I would recommend going online to the RC Universe Forums. There is a thread there that is all about this plane, and I’m pretty sure somewhere in there it’ll tell you where to go to get plans parts etc…
Wow! It is coming out beautifully. I found a half built Pica Waco 1/6 that I’m just starting to finish and your series has been infinitely helpful. Now I need to add lights as well!
Hey there Tyler, nice rig. I just finished building my TH super extra . I’m thinking of cutting a slot in the vertical fuse for the battery as well. How the heck is everyone strapping it in to that slot? I can’t see anyone actually putting their battery in prior to their flight . If there’s a flat Velcro patch stuck down I’m not sure how you’d lift up to remove when done. (If the slot is snug) Please let me know what’s working for you if you don’t mind. Cheers 🍻 🇨🇦🙂
@@millerrc5829 wow ok. Yeah that’s what I’m seeing others do too then. Guess it would be why I’m not seeing any straps or Velcro 😄lol Thanks man , I really appreciate the reply. Cheers 🍻🇨🇦
What's this move/transition called at this point in the vid. I always see people doing it but wish I knew the stick movements. Thanks ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-jrKxjrahhBg.htmlsi=ndX1a0IjnkPTVvjg&t=1073
@@2.4g-rc most folks call it the no name and unfortunately I wouldn’t have a source for sticker movements but I learned by watching a close up vid and watching the control surfaces to match the stick movements.
How do you like this laser compared to the skywing yak 54 you have been ripping. I was ordering the yak until I heard you say its heavy. I do not like heavy models at all. I like this laser v3 and the extreme yak 54 in the 60 inch.
@@dbirds21 awesome man while the SW Yak is heavier than this laser it doesn’t fly like it’s heavy at all, in fact the SW yak does slightly better in the post stall than this laser. I really can’t tell you which I like better kinda depends on my mood if I want to fly more XA I grab the laser, if I’m more low and slow I’ll pick the round Cowl warrior. I’ll also say this for the SW Yak’s sake it is built beefier than my EF laser (hence the heavier weight) so if comparing airframe life longevity the yak will last longer. But as this video shows my EF laser is still going strong after 4 yrs.
when you showed that first stall what control inputs were you actually doing to cause it to fall off like that , did you back the throttle way down and then just bank it and the tip stalled?
Great job nice landing, yes, I am with you cannot get that sound with a crappy electric, people that fly electric defiantly move over to the dark side. 👍👍👍👍👍👍
biplanes are my fave, got two mamba 60s and a mamba 10...going to do the power upgrade to the 10. the stickers will fade and get pock marks over time as bugs and stuff hit it....
