In the beginning, "God... made man in His likeness". He gave skills to men, knowledge of "technology" whether "primitive" or "modern", and provision through nature. Very interesting skills. But mankind has always been mankind, as God said. Blessings to you.
I do not reveal spots to maintain the sustainability of the area though any of the smaller bays around central and northern CA will have them. Check the Cal Dept of Fish and Wildlife Ocean Fishing Regulations Map to be sure that clamming is legal in your area. If you find a spot please keep it quiet. If you need a guide you can find more info on my website catchncookcalifornia.com
Kevin you are like me, one of the most authentic people I have never met and so down to earth, genuine, humble yet brilliant when it comes to your field, and your many inner qualities is what make the physical attributes so appealing. I would love to meet you one day.
My brother, plantains are wonderful…. We call sweet plantain “maduros” and fried smashed plantain “tostones” Our African brothers and sisters make very good plantain out there, I’m from Ecuador, try tostones my friend Cut the plantains into 3/4 inch pieces horizontally and fry them till getting brown Take them out and smash them down smoothly and re fry them… Salt to your liking… With ceviche and fish my friend it’s my favorite ever Come summertime I’m eating ceviche and plantain a lot !
@@catchncookcalifornia1574 it certainly is! Forgot to mention tostones have to be done with un ripe or a firm ripe plantain, or else it’ll be too mushy and sweet we usually just do em diagonal cut and those become maduros I can’t express how happy I am that you’re in the fishing/youtube community. I’ve been thoroughly inspired by guys like you and greatly desire to learn how to free dive and spearfish. I will hopefully be doing a PADI basic class as soon as I can and/or finding someone to take me out. I might throw you an email about your guide service but I am in San Diego… Cheers brotha, stay blessed 🤙🏽
Ate with a Burmese family as a child...still looking for that fork!! Food was delish and a young introduction to a different culture!! Excellent vid here!!
Almost always can predict your expression on that all important first bite.. and never get tired of it btw so much fun. Nice to see you back and adding Miso is going to be fun to watch in next videos where jumps in. Fun series glad you friend finally caught up for a cultural food exchange -
I love this type of segment. Doc, you are very fortunate to be surrounded by amazing wild edible plants and beautiful clean shorelines where you can harvest delicious seafood and edible seaweeds. I wish I lived closer so that I can take your classes. Love your cute puppy Miso? It makes me want to get one!
Great episode Kevin. My parents always said you can tell a lot about a person by the friends they keep and judging by all the people who are on your channel you are all a great bunch of people.
Great video. Glad to see so much enjoyment from both of you foraging. About to go out for chanterelles real soon then get into boletes more this year. 😊
I really enjoyed this content. When she said how much she had craved good fish, your reaction made me laugh because that's about as gratifying a response that you can get when you've provided food through a labor of love. Keep these coming.
Just dropped some crab content in my video yesterday. As for lobster, I did a lobster dive vid a few months back if you search my vids. Thanks for watching!
