"...And Sewing Is Half The Battle!" is an award-winning cosplay group based in central Indiana (though we love to travel!). We produce costumes for exhibition at various events around the country, and very occasionally provide costuming services for other professional organizations. We also teach workshops on costuming, materials, prop and armor construction, presentation, and more.
We love cosplayers and cosplay, and we particularly love helping newbies get started! There are many free tutorials on our website, and we welcome questions and costume discussion. All we ask is that you be polite and courteous to your fellow costumers!
omg yes - I always avoided this makeup for oil because it was never opaque enough and always smeared too easy - but seeing you grind and pat is what I needed.
Well done. Unbelievable depth of knowledge on the topic and fluid, thoroughly engaging, delivery. I wonder if/how the "narrative" project (WK&) I'm working through on my channel might fit into this phantom thief theme? Casual research for which led me (quite happily) to this video right at this moment. Thank you so much for posting this. Kudos.
This whole step eith mixing dabbing onto hand is fantastic but for the size of the paint cups... I bought the tiny little ones instead 😅😅😅 Wasted my money... Oh my god Petri Dish? 👀👀👀 I need to check what I bought
Thank you! I know how to apply my paint now. I tried earlier and it was definitely runny. I had no clue i was supposed to make it into a paste like that. Now just gotta go buy sponge and sealer. Video still useful 5yrs later 💙
Really awesome presentation!! I did notice, though, that you seemed to say Sly Cooper was Kaitou Sly Cooper in the "original Japanese"? It was developed by Sucker Punch in America. Wanted to put that out there.
I think you just saved my Halloween costume. So glad I found this video after watching so many others. My trial didn't go well earlier tonight but I am now confident I will be a perfectly blue genie tomorrow night!!! Thank you!!!
that was really useful information! thanks for explaining it so directly and precisely. I had an issue with oil from the person's skin mixing with the magicake paint and creating uneven coloration. terrible! so i'm going to try a sealer based on this video. thanks.
I know this is an old comment, but for reference, you can chop up the cakes into powders, mix them, add just enough water to make a paste and then put the paste back into the container! Let it dry all the way before using :)
This is the 1.25oz/35g container. I've had this one for several years, but I don't use it very often, so I'm not sure how many applications it will yield total. A little goes a long way, though; it's very pigmented.
I just want to say I've gone through easily 50 different videos and this is the first one I've found that gave this information to this level. I think a lot of people are overlooking this low level extremely useful info in their videos. Thanks so much.
