It's interesting how every now and then new therapy models emerge that have the answers to all the questions, to all the problems. I'm happy that there is an approach that pays attention to the body. At the same time, why invent another model? Power games, visibility... search for personal success.

I have a question about NARM. I have cptsd, abuse amnesia/dissociation, anxiety, and depression. I've been in sessions for 2 months. My therapist starts out by asking what I want for myself, then has me talk about what I'm going through, with the pauses to sit with the feelings. Just when I am the most emotional and upset and at the topmost branch of the trauma tree, the session ends, he recaps what happened and it's over. I'm left with all the feelings and flooding and no way to get back down, no direction or guidance. Then I take a shower and nap, and am very sensitive and extra reliant on my service dog for a few days. Is that how NARM is supposed to go?

I find it annoying that as a social anxiety sufferer I’m having to do all these weird things. Like exposing myself etc.

Bellwood is a complete shit hole. These morons are mostly unqualified and there's only 2 actual nurses on staff. Its a cash grab and if you are actually suffering from mental health issues or substance abuse don't get tricked by these charlatans

When I was there 15 years ago they wouldn’t never have allowed that- only thing we were allowed to do is walk. No music, no sports, no exercise!
