Did you change the radiator ever with this mileage.? I heard horror stories from cobalt owners about transmission cooler failure inside radiator. Destroying the transmission with coolant.
I've had that happen on two cars I've worked on (a Nissan and a Dodge). But I've never experienced that with any Chevy Cobalt I've owned. (Manual transmission Chevy cobalts don't have oil coolers in the radiator) 👍👍👍 I have a video on a very common Chevy Cobalt automatic transmission problem you should check out 👍
No, you don't have to disassemble the whole door. I have a video removing the door last mechanism which has the lock actuator built in 👍 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-D6igb-OcGj4.html

hi everyone, I have 08 chevy cobalt lt coupe, I'm trying to install a backup camera but unable to find a way to pull camera cable through the licence plate light hole. Any help would be appreciated. I've seen some videos but they are of sedan version not the coupe model. Thank you
Man its awesome that you can find these rides like nothing . Again out here in the (RGV ) they'll be parted (cuz they'll want king kongs nuts for them) out or they'll wide up in Mexico. you sell parts from the blk car your pulling the motor from??
The ones I part out I usually part out locally, I usually charge about 50% of what the local wrecking yards charge 👍 I thought about opening an eBay store where I could do shipping
I'm glad it was helpful 👍👍 We don't have rust in my area but it seems like in areas where they salt the roads cobalts don't hold up . I lived in upstate New York when I was a kid and it seemed like after 5 or 6 years all the vehicles were Rusty
Would you be willing to sell this once you fix it ?, I’d be willing to pick it up and everything this car reminds me of my first car it looked the exact same, I have another cobalt that’s red but it’s the base model, I’ve been wanting to get my hands on a SS
Do you think if I swap the bottom passenger seat on my 2015 Cadillac ats with a used one that’s exactly the same. the exact year model. Should work right?
I have a 2009 cobalt I bought for $500 ran and drive cold ac but little to no compression on 1 cylinder soo I replaced the head runs perfectly it's just the 2.2l vvt I've done other services to it as well I'm getting it ready to be my daily gas saver I drive 200 mile round trip for work I work as a mechanic and work on cng vehicles
Also I heard 7mm but not sure if you said hex for the ECM connector bolts? Do you know if the 2008 GMC vortec 4200 ECM connectors come off the same way?
when its hot my power locks don''t work and i bet lts the power lock motor on that. i been thinking of opening it up and soldering up old joints on that
There is a jump start location under the hood. On the fuse box with a red cover is a post you hook the positive cable up to and hook the negative cable to the shock Tower there is a sticker that shows you where it goes. Look in your owner's manual it'll show you exactly how to do it 👍👍👍👍 If you Google search it it'll give you pictures as well
Kool video got my bumper painted & the hood its been raining down here cuz of the hurricane in Mexico but its been clearing up now. Question is it easy to fix the trunk key ( where you put the key to open the trunk ) or where can I get a new 1. Man its awesome you can find all these cars in your junk yards down here it SUCKS or they want KING KONGS BALLS for every thing. I need a hub cap just 1 & they want 60 or 80 bucks for not going to happen.
My 09 g 5 has 353000 on it now got it with 142000 that short is under the cup holder at the box inside the console I found this out one day pissed my power steering wasn’t working with that problem I kicked the console by the cup holder and bam worked still bang the side of my console every now and then still fix’s the problem car is a tank keep oil changed and run it till the wheels fall off lol
Also after making a turn if it doesn’t cancel itself out back to normal it could be a clock spring. Only reason I know that is because I had switched my entire steering wheels setup and it deleted the clock spring so you will lose the self returning feature because the clock spring tells the car where the steering wheel is positioned at least from what I’ve gathered from it.
Love your videos. I’ve used a few on my cobalt like switching the gauge cluster and a pillar gauges. Love how everything is explained so there’s no questions. And there’s always some nice information to know too. Thanks
Do you mind sharing how to check the oil level. The way I do is to check first in the morning before starting it shows to the full mark. But according to the manual it says to warm up the car and let it sit for 10 min and check the oil level on a level ground. But if I do that it shows me the level is low by half a quart. I’m so confused. And scared of overfilling it. I hope you could share some light. As you’re very experienced with eco tech engines . Thanks
The best way I have found to check your oil on a regular basis the right way is to check your oil when you get gas ⛽ Every time you get gas ( it only takes a minute) gas station pumps are on level ground 👍oil is warm 👍 Fill up your gas (time for oil to settle) Then check your oil ( paper towels at pump) Oil is available at most gas station if you need some
@@1020autorebuild oh thats litttt 🔥 is your other one Automatic? I hope my auto lasts just as long, boutta hit 200k on mine i put 50k miles on it in 5 months lol
200,563. I had a bogging down then fuel rich, fuel lean, feel rich set a code so I cleaned the map sensor and the throttle body and now I have random misfire. So I'm replacing spark plugs and I'm using your video to make sure I'm not missing anything
