Hey man, coincidentally I followed your last video not too long ago, it was pretty straight forward and I flipped the springs in the assembly, added a little more silicon grease, but it didn't help. At this point I'm used to living without it. I guess the springs at this point are too weak, I dont know. Just saying it might not do it 100% of the time. Either way good video, shows a bit more than the last
I finally had to replace my original turn signal switch on the Cobalt with 345,000 miles (I did this repair one other time). The turn signal switch I just picked up from the wrecking yard that I flipped the springs on should take the car to 500,000 miles 👍👍👍👍
Also after making a turn if it doesn’t cancel itself out back to normal it could be a clock spring. Only reason I know that is because I had switched my entire steering wheels setup and it deleted the clock spring so you will lose the self returning feature because the clock spring tells the car where the steering wheel is positioned at least from what I’ve gathered from it.
Man thanks I'll be doing that tomorrow crazy they wanted to charge me 80 bucks to change the switch. Made look so easy. I still have to change the hood & front bumper I want to sand down the car & paint it white again with rustoleum its been raining down here in the RGV. Tx. Bueno sir thanks again I still want to take the cowl panel off to paint it to. O real quick can the door switches be worked on . The lock & unlock work some times or do I buy news 1's ???
Sounds like fun what kind of cobalt do you have? 👍👍 I've never taken the power lock / door latch mechanism apart to see if it was serviceable, but I do have a few extra ones that I'll try to make a video on taking it apart if it's possible 👍👍👍
@@1020autorebuild Its an 07 4 door college car that my son drives. Its got about 121175 miles on it. I use to drive it to work before retiring from the fire Dept. its was about 150 round trip. Good interior awesome AC but it does need some love. So I'll be attempting to paint it with rustoleum gloss white paint. I do need to check on the pas. side rear door won't open I need to check that & it is unlocked LOL LOL any suggestions ? Bueno sir again I wish you lived near to me so you could help me out but I will learn or try to learn with the videos . RF from TX (RGV )
