Hey guys, just finished the install on my 340i. The gauge looks great and functions well. I am concerned about the wiring coming out of the OBD connector as it’s a tight turn and the wires look pretty bent when the connector is installed. Any advice?
Obviously I would remove it for any warranty work. Will the dealership be able to know this was hooked up to the OBD system prior to me bringing in my car?
No worries, this product does not void any warranties. Since it is a read-only device it will not affect any performance or operations of the vehicle. This works the same as a code reader dongle, it only reads information. It does not modify anything on the network or in the ECU. But yes, you can just unplug the OBD2 connector and tuck it in your dash to avoid any issues when taking it to the dealer. If you do run into any issues, feel free to have your dealer call us.

@@ninjasarereal5883 the first one is at the MAF sensor where air is coming into the intake tract. The second is after the air has been compressed by forced induction and then pushed through the intercooler/heat exchanger.

To teach him a lesson I threw a wadded up piece of paper at him but turns out it ended up being the size of his head. He was really shook up and I felt bad. We've since made up and have a new found respect for one another. He's not a bad kid, just misunderstood. We're meeting for donuts this weekend.

Hey, glad to hear it! The event itself is free. The money you'll need to spend will be for lodging. Many of the rooms in that area book up WAY in advance so a b&b may be a good option if you can't find anything else. You don't have to be invited, any enthusiast is welcome. Loved the video. Considering purchasing. I did notice that when you first plugged in the display to the OBD2 Port that the display was slowly running lights. The jeep was not on at that point. Is there a battery in the converter box or will this simply draw power while the key is in the off position?
@@mr.nicholasball9664 thank you. Since your OBD2 port has constant power we use logic for the gauge to turn on and off with the engine. The gauge has a sleep routine where it only checks for a voltage surge every few seconds. When it does see one, it then looks for RPM. This is just the default setting so anyone can plug into their OBD2 port and go. You can also wire to a switched power and disable that on/off logic. I got an Indium grey 19' Mk7.5R last September i actually got the heliograms too but in silver. Damn do they look good. It was a single owner with 24k miles. Have only a cts resonator delete and IE intake.
How much of the airflow from the vent is cut off with this display installed? I really like the way this looks, but I don't want decreased airflow through the vent.

Hello, I have a 2021 bmw 240i. My question is can I purchase this with the ethanol sensor and avoid having to get the boot mod flex fuel kit? I’m assuming if you pay the extra $100 for the sensor if removed the need for flex fuel kit? Please let me know and I will pull the trigger on this. Thanks!
In order to read ethanol you will need 1- our gauge, 2- an ethanol sensor, 3- our ESVA. <- That setup will get ethanol content to your eyes but not your ECU. So if you're going to be running a blend tune and just need to see the ethanol content you can do that with our gauge.

Yeah, that was on my slick concrete floor. I’m guessing the slip is either right on the edge friction wise and it’s able to spin on the floor OR it slips for a split second and then grabs. I’m gonna have to dig into it further to see what the issue is

Have a configuration video to show boost? I just ordered my P3 and I’ve seen several other Mk8 owners that have had issues with their P3 displaying boost out of the box.

Thanks for the clear and straight to the point configuration guide. @11:48 Once d.ON.P is selected, how do I manually dim the gauge brightness without having the green wire connected to my cars dimmer output?
Thanks for your comment. When you’re not set to auto dimming (so “d.On.P” or “d.On”) you just hold the right button down in gauge mode until the display dims. Do the same until it returns to bright to change back to bright mode.
Haha you're telling me! VW recently did a rust warranty repair on the car but did not do any blending when they painted so it now looks like a Rising Blue Harlequin... We discussed swapping doors but one is dented, haha.

VW guy here through and through. It's pretty nice to see these cars holding value. Although the 7.5's tend to sell for more, to put things into perspective, I purchased my 2015 7r back in 2021 w/ 46K miles for $24K. This to was my 1st "automatic". I've been running IE stage 1 FBO excluding a downpipe for about 2 years, and E85 for the last 6 months. Downpipe and full stage 2 are pending install. The car itself has been phenomenal and now boast 97K miles. I personally don't care if the car is the fastest, but the performance, reliability and fun factor is unmatched. Great buy!
Sounds like we would get along great! I've got a diff here ready to go in the car along with all the stage 2 parts. It will be getting TrueFlex after that. I'm really impressed with the IE parts on several of our cars and the performance and drivability is awesome. Have you ever been to wookies in the woods?
@@P3Gauges LOL probably so and I agree, IE parts and tunes have served me very well, so I trust them big time. Along with the dp, I'll be throwing on some ecs tuning 2 pc front rotors and ebc pads to hopefully help slow this mini beast down. I missed WITW due to work but hope to make a shows.
