*NOTE* We plan on revisiting this when it's warm out and we are stage 2+ and TrueFlex. Currently it seems like the IAT is acting similarly to a downstream o2 sensor when a spacer is installed. The data is smoothed way out and doesn't react quickly. The strange part is that the aluminum was very hot to the touch but the IAT reading was much cooler than expected. We'll see if we get similar results when we are near the top of tuning potential rather than stock!
I have run a boost tap like this, for over 2 years. Audi A3 8.5V EA888.3 2.0TFSI. Other mods include 034 TIP, ECS Cold air intake, no tune, no exhaust, or any other mods. mostly stock. This part has been reliable, and when first picking it out, I read all the hate about it. Then I tried for myself. 2 Years, and 35K+ Daily driven miles. No CEL, no wildy irregular MAF readings, just an easy to use boost tap, that I didn't have to puncture a hole in my intake manifold to install.
Wow, interesting scientifically significant tests we got here. I’m not educated enough to make any hate comment’s unfortunately. I will say, some nice b-role and cool nonetheless to see stock dyno runs 😁
