Thanks for the video. My son’s 07 Sedona went into limp mode. Check engine light came on. He pulled the codes 402 and 101. I told him let’s clean the Mass air and go from there. I believe the 402 is related to the catalytic converter. His were replaced 1 1/2-2 years ago. We’re thinking the o2 sensors could be bad. They weren’t replaced when they did the cats. Im hoping that’s why the van went in limp mode. Does anyone know if that could cause the limp mode?

Biggest reason at first to disconnect the exhaust was to dealwith the the darn puzzle piece of a heat sheild giving me problems. The o2 sensor was a minr issue . Thanks for the comment. That is one reason why I did a follow up video. :) have a great day.
Hello robert. Two ways are to disconnect battery and after reconnect the code will reset, but eventually come back on if there is still a problem. You can also do it if you have a code reader
No. The positive cable that runs down to starter gives the starter power. Check to make sure the starter is connected properly and if so maybe clean off the post on the starter to make sure there is a good connection.

If you allow me , We took our Kia to Auto Zone , and run a computer check , and shows that we do have a problem with Mass Air Flow Sensor , we just bought the spray cleaner , and we are about to start the clenning , I do have a question , if this is problem can cause to our van use (spend) more gas than usual ? Hello victor sorry for late response. God does. Less me every day. ;) i am not a mechanic but have certified mechanic friends that i consult. So from everything i have read and checked out and from what my friends say that yes it can affect it as the MAF send info to the computer to help regulate things. Let me know how it goes.

Always thought about going out on murtaugh. I have also been out on filer ponds. My tube got popped by racoons during a camping trip last year so i have not done any tubing this year sadly

Great vid but could have been better had you mentioned the size of sockets or wrenches used. I use to remember having had to replace the Cotton picking thing twice already and this is the third time just can't seem to remember size tho
Thanks for the tutorial on my car (2004 Sedona, same underneath the hood). I gave my MAF sensor a spray with the same cleaner. It's a hot day out and it didn't stall starting it up, which looks promising. Hoping this solves my strange RPM fluctuation problem. P.S. I felt like I wasn't tightening screws hard enough when I was reconnecting the sensor, the air hose clamps/fittings never feel 100% tight, but I feel this is a common thing.
Sorry for the late reply. I would say that yes they never felt 100% tight for me either, but i just made sure they didnt spin when i tried to move them and called it good. Now 7 months later has it seemed to keep running well?

i agree that it took less the the second time i did it as i used tips that people posted on this page after they watched the vid so i did a second vid that made it less complicated. ;) i need to figure out how to link that vid to this one so when people click on this vid they can see the newess time consuming one ;)
the heat sheild was a pain in the but. Try to find my other video Kia Sedona part 2 which explains a little better how to get the heat shield out after having to do it a second time LOL
