I am somewhat new to disc golf, I've played a few times but never got serious until recently. I appreciate your time and knowledge on all these disc. new subscriber. will be watching more of your videos.
Thanks for another great video. 😊 I don't play glow rounds, but this time of year, our Wednesday handicaps finishes the last 2 or 3 holes after dark. I don't have any glow discs. I just bring a UV flashlight and some removable glow stickers. I put a couple on my discs and hand out stickers to those in need. Here in Florida, there are things in the dark you may not care to step on, as well as mosquitos, so I'm extra careful. Not really interested in complete glow rounds, but some of my friends love them.
I heard about this guy who played glow golf and had his eye gouged right out by a twig! I WOULD play glow golf but it’s not something I’m dying to do. I like to see where I’m aiming, see the disc in flight, see where it lands, etc. I have a few glow discs so I could theoretically play a round if the need arises.
Played one glow round. Walked into a branch, glasses went flying. Last time for me. Gotta love the fall golf. You can spend ten minutes looking for a disc on a fifty foot green. You could attach a blower to your cart. Clean the greens then sent it down the hills with a little extra boost. Enjoy the vid as always!!
Played a few rounds of glow dg. Only at open park courses, though. Like a city park. And both were short 9 hole courses. Glow sticks on the baskets are a must! Just remember to take them down after play. One of my local courses still has old glow sticks tied to baskets from an early summer glow round event. Trashy. Thanks for the uploads. I need to play these courses.
Hudson Mills! You won't be disappointed. I live almost 4 hours away. Played it one time and have been itching to play it again! I'd give it borderline 10/10
I played Maple Hill today, and boy, the wind was a kick in the pants.lol, glow golf is fun, but can be tricky. I like to practice putting in the dark, I don't use glow just feel. No lights on just use the light from the moon. And after doing this for a couple weeks I noticed a complete 180 on my putting. I have heard a few pros talk about putting in the dark also.
I love the anti rollaway hexagon disc. What about an oval disc? Probably wouldn't be useful but it'd be the perfect gift for easter. The bag swap is going to be so interesting to watch
@@tossingplastic To go even wilder (and make it roll even less) put most of the weight at one end, or in the middle (to lower the moment of inertia). I wonder how that would play. I've throwing unbalanced discs and its pretty crazy, though not sure if its good.
Love the creativity of the new disks. South central WI has some really fun spots to try all of them. Anywhere from a traditional 18 to a 6 hole,or an 18 hole that only uses 5 baskets. Come on over and have a good time!
That's awesome to see the TP sign there! A disc with a ridiculous amount of dome could be interesting, though I'm not sure what sort of stability it would end up having.
@tossingplastic makes sense! Maybe an extra wide rim then but regular dome? Or an extra narrow edge (sharper through the wind means more distance right? Right??)
I was a wild land fire fighter, and yeah going around in the woods at night can get you hurt fast. Get some yellow or clear safety glasses and that can help a lot. Hope you're friend is doing better.
I really wanted to be one of those throughout my construction career! A job with more meaning you know? I am very fascinated with how that went for you.
Ive never found one with a number on it and didnt also find the owner on course but on mine i never put a number on mine just hope the next person enjoys it
