The sign says it was an Eagle Scout project which is admirable for the kid but if he designed it then it makes sense (not to dog on him as designing a good course is difficult let alone for a teenager). It also would make sense that it's not maintained as well as it should be unless someone has taken over responsibility.
At this point, I would say I’m a casual disc golf player, but I am trying to improve my game. DG gives me an opportunity to get outside, which is fantastic, and it definitely offers me some much needed stress relief. I am a solitary player though, and because of that, disc golf doesn’t offer the socializing part that I probably need. I really enjoy playing, and I imagine dg is a sport that I’ll stick with for a long time. Thanks Hunter 💫
Hart hydro is so weird. I played it with my friend, and we both won't be playing it anytime soon, lol. I play disc golf, because it's the only sport where everyone can play. No matter if you're new, or have 30 years of experience, everyone treats you the same. It's a blast! And it's cheap too! Thanks for the videos!
Thanks for sticking it out! I had a safari experience on a ski hill/ DGC on Saturday. I play for fun, and my discs are like my children. I know what it feels like to let the hammer go.
I disc golf to get out in the woods and relax. Wrenching on cars all day can be stressful and it gives me a chance to relax. Love the content! Keep it up
Am a category B player for sure! It’s all about the nature for me but awesome to have that perfectly carved drive or approach shot and occasionally sinking a 60’ tester! Think you nailed the review!!!
"You've got to be kidding me" went threw my brain so many times watching this video. I've got one of those I play when I don't have a lot of time. Kinda skip around and play the 6 holes that are worth my time. I'm one that plays because it's outside in the woods and I really enjoy watching my discs fly. Listening to my favorite podcasts or music in my opinion ya can't beat it.
Just coming back to life after leagues at Hickory Hills in TC. Turned this on while prepping dinner and you got me crying. Hole 13.. went down hill sooo fast. Can't make this up if I tried. Hammer. Hammer Hammer 🔨 💪 You're genuinely hilarious and interesting. Keep em coming. 💯
To answer the hole nine question: disc golf is physical and mental therapy for me. I have a basket at home and I pitch and putt for an hour at least 4 days a week and I try to hit one of the many courses around me at least once a week. I like tournaments to get free disc I wouldn’t normally throw and to meet other players and see different styles of play. I keep score but I like the idea of conquering the course and not the other guys I’m playing with.
Hey Hunter, I'm certainly a newer player. Only started throwing regularly this year. So far I'm with option 3, just throwing around my local spots for a decent hike while I try to improve. I'm in Grand Rapids, wonder what your thoughts were on Old Farm and Lemar Park. They're probably more beginner focused but I'd say worth checking on if you haven't. Appreciate the local Disc Golf content, Steve
I'm definitely a local course person. I don't travel much and play the same course multiple times a week. When I get the chance I'll do other courses in my area. I'll even hit the 9 hole courses to. I don't practice outside of playing hardly at all. If I do go on vacation to see family I'll bring a few discs and try to tackle a bunch of their local courses and sometimes bring them along for the ride. Usually every has a good time. Now that course towards the end is so wacky
I'm more of a Player B type, love hiking, love traveling around checking out new spots. I'm super grateful to have friends in the same mindset even if they're less serious about the sport. It's never been my goal to get really really good as my athletic prime is in the rearview, but I have more fun playing when I play well so I'm always working on improving some aspect of my game
I get out and practice in the back yard once or twice a week. I disc golf because it gets me out in nature and it really helps me stay in shape. I'm 45 so little things like that help. I still want to play some tournaments but haven't yet. New courses are always fun but sometimes not worth the drive. Lol
i'm a super cas player who needs to get out and get exercise and hiking my local course with a bit of game added in really helps me. I like the idea of checking out "bad" courses but gotta remember not all courses are gonna be for pros this seems like a sweet little getting ppl used to disc golf course.
I go to the local high school a couple times a week. I go onto the football field and throw goalpost to goalpost in summer. In winter and at night I play there but in the parking lot. It’s plowed and the lights are on. I play to the light poles for object golf to work on my accuracy.
I am in my 40s DG is my last vestige of athleticism. I do field work during break at work and practice putting while grilling up dinner. I am lucky enough to have about 7 courses within a 20 mi radius of home, so a bit of variety. I like to compete against my friends and play glow league. Maybe next year I'll branch out into some tournaments.
I travel for work so I get to play up and down the east coast, I love the senary and to check out different course, I practice putt at my house daily. I do a little feild work but I'm new to disc golf been playing just under a year. So I'm trying to get my form down better. But I travel from maine to florida so I get to play alot of courses, played a few in Ohio and 2 in Michigan.
I play to settle myself and get out of my head. I play my local course but do try other courses but not a huge fan of tournaments...to much stress. I play to have fun.
Just found your channel, have you checked out Bald Mountain yet? It's my favorite and after a couple years it should be in the top 3 in Michigan in my opinion.
I'm a forehand heavy for distance and back hand in close...I play the same 4 to 5 courses weekly. I notice you almost never use the fore hand- can you speak to this?
I'm good enough with it. It gets me out of situations when I need it and feel confident about 120in with approach shots! I just have more confidence with anhyzer/turnovers, and I've always felt there were more satisfying to throw. So I practiced then a lot!
You know what truly blows my mind hunter. You been in a ton of places . Some ranked kinda high . And like my worst in my neighborhood also has extremely nice concrete mathematically laid out T-boxs. 🧔 ... Then ones that are good have a rubber mat torn to 1960 ...
Honestly I know my game I know my discs of choice.. I'm so fully relaxed in my game I just sit around on really hot days playing every single resident evil game there is. I'm on #6 and it's horrible lol... #2 is great just to old for mr. x and the intense rabbit chase. .. #3 is by far the one that sucked me in the most. I'm up till 3am drinking coffee ☕ loving the unlimited guns ammo .. I'm on the last fight with Nemesis.. with the rail gun finisher .( Nightmare mode) 🤟👽♠️ I play really early mornings before the heat of the upper Midwest.. or Mideast since we're not passed the Mississippi.. 😂 .. my brain can't think geography right now.. I have been on a week binge Marathon run of the entire resident evil series.. just have #5 left to go and I played every one of them. #1 #2 #5 Atm#6 in game play.. I haven't beat them. The rest yes.. #1 I own but man it's hard to go back to 1990 game play .. #2 I don't think I'll play again or your see me in the ER 😅 #5 will be beat..
