Thank you. ❤️ My grandmother (Italian) was very elegant and always smelled so soft snd pretty. She wore her hair in a low bun until her 80's then got it cut off to a shorter style. She was a stickler about etiquette, grace and dignity. We also were taught to never eat with food in your mouth even alone. Please yes wear clean clothes and have clean bedding.
I do all these things only my books are always there at the corner of the bed below because my books are my best friends and I even clean while cooking so that I save the time to clean the kitchen after cooking.Nice advice to all ladies.Thank you dear.
Guilty of not plating my food from take-out containers. (I SAY to myself that, 'I should put this on a plate'...and, then DON'T) That stops today/now. I understand The Assignment! I am taking notes.
Hi everyone I have other elegant idea I would like to propose and that is IRON YOUR CLOTHES. People today look like they just rolled out of bed, all wrinkled and just plain sloppy. They have taken the causal look to the extreme. They have no pride in there appearance and first impressions count in business and social. Everyone seems to emulate the next person instead of being their own person. Take a look at the average person and actresses of the 40"s and 50"s and how unique and crisp their outfits looked and the pride they expressed. I enjoy reading your thoughts.
I have always maintained a pleasant and inviting home. And I have always taken care to put on an attractive outfit (even if it’s just jeans and a sweater), jewelry and practice good hygiene. I feel it’s important because it elevates myself and others even if it is only my husband and myself. I like the calm that I get when I look around a tidy home, and I also like to give my husband something nice to look at when he sees me each day! However, you challenged me with regard to eating out of a container. I often do not take the time to “plate“ my food, unless my husband and I are sitting down to a meal together. There are always ways in which we can grow in elegance, both internally and externally, and so I thank you for your channel and your challenges! God bless you my elegant sister!
Whew, basically the only thing I have been often been guilty of is eating straight from the takeout containers...I mean if I order food to be delivered at home a great advantage of it is not having to do the dishes lol, I think there should be a bit of leeway with that. But eating straight from the pot is different and a no-no for me too.
