I purchased this template months ago. I have not gone to school for engineering, and I could not get it to work for me......at first. A few weeks ago I finally got a descent grasp of tracking as far as pre-amp gain goes. Now when I use this template it's sounds professional even before I start mixing.
For those that have the Apollo X8 thunderbolt two, don’t forget that you have the option to switch out the thunderbolt two card to a thunderbolt three option card and it will make your system up-to-date a lot faster, and you’re able to add more plug-ins I’ve done that to my system and it was a amazing investment only $200
I already had a Apollo X8 but wanted to add onto my Mike preamp so got a Apollo twin X quad plus a universal audio Apollo satellite octo for more DSP power when mixing and of course it’s so portable as well. I cannot complain this by far has been amazing and just like Emily said the converters are amazing and you could truly do some amazing work.🎶
@@emily_bowie thank you for all the solid information. I have been able to go basically full time from mixing for this past year and a half, and the tips and workflow you share have really shaped the way I approach mixing and given me that final layer of practicals to be able to do this professionally. THANK YOU!
Hi! Thank you for an amazing tutorial! Please could you tell me how you manage to paint your text in mix window in yellow? It look fresh and interesting! Thanks again!
@@gorantovic1473 thanks, friend! You can change the display colors and text in the appearance tab (I think). I might do a quick video on how to change all these colors bc I get asked that a lot!
I bought this plugin and have been extremely impressed with all of the nuances it can bring to the table. I used it immediately on a project and both my client and myself were thrilled with the results. 😊
i use Ai to enhance my lyrics because since i don't have anyone to revise them for me Ai has become a very nice helping hand. Not only is it educating me on certain things i can include into my songs but it gives me the opportunity to break out of writers block.
I noticed that i had a membership for 12$ but then i upload a cover it charge another 12$, would i pay the yearly fee and on top on all cover songs per year?
Hi Emily I bought it , really great !!! Some mistakes in the stocks plugins where you use some thirds party’s plugins such as UAD chambers. Could you please make a third party’s plugins list for your favorite ones ? I subscribed you are a « belle personne « as we could say in French ! All my best Alain
🎚Just subscribed to your channel. I've been recording and mixing for four years now and have done some stuff I think sounds pretty decent, but I still sometimes find myself beating my head against the wall. Always looking to hear a new perspective. I enjoy listening to your accent, btw.
Not sure this matters but just need to know if this template is compatible with Logic Pro X 11 ? Just a precaution on my part ! Seems like a great product.
Nice video. I use this on every song period. Just instantiate Ozone EQ on the same track and you can quickly fix any problem areas as the Tonal Control curve will move pretty much in real-time to any changes made with the EQ. You can do that with any EQ its just that Tonal seems to respond more quickly to Ozone EQ. A great and absolutely indispensable tool for finalizing.
This is so helpful. I didn't realise it was so simple. I love using visual aids and this is a great plugin. This is the first video I've seen from Emily, but now I've subscribed!!
🎚I have several videos on Balance as the core of mixing. This is how it was taught when I started. Sadly these days people want to fire straight past the fundamentals so they get into Pluginz and the invented (but great for Plugin sellers) delusion of "Advanced Mixing Techniques". I am not sure that mixing with eyes is The Way tho. It is a shame that we had to see rather than hear your decisions. :-)
Hi Emily, I only voice and record mono voiceover files to send out everyday. Does balance technique work the same way for single files? I like to eq and compress my voiceover so that the person on the other end only needs to drop it into the video and move around to taste. I feel like I'm getting better with processing my audio but I feel sometimes I'm missing the mark because mostly I'm just trial and error. I use fabfilter proQ3, multiband and compression plugins. Should I be looking at the ProQ3 graph and simply "even out" the peaks and valleys like you demonstrated? Thanks, by the way, love your channel!
@@paulquinnvoiceover8354 firstly, great topic of discussion! It would be different for just a mono voice recording. Because there’s no multitracks to balance with. That’s not to say a certain “balancing” wouldn’t be needed. You do want a consistent voice recording throughout. I’d be happy to explore this in a video if you’d like.
Can anyone answer? What if I don't have all of the plug-ins used in the video? Just use something comparable our of my own stash? Thanks for the info Emily!!
