I've been looking into buying one of these trucks but have been put off by the lipo battery safety, how are you charging yours and keeping them safe? Sorry if it's a negative question. Andy.
Just wanted to say that before the conversion your Savage looked absolutely fantastic. Just a huge fan of the Nitro Savages. I still have my 1st Gen. Savage 25 and it’s still all original. Just a huge credit to the HPI Engineers back then.
Looks like a great way to start. I have watched a few videos today and yesterday. There doesn't seem to be a wrong way to do it. The main thing to me do i like it. If you build it you got to be happy with it and play on it!! Right?
Mb100 esc, Emax servo, rc4wd wagon wheels reversed with hyrax tires. Ruberband around shocks for lcg. Finally firting scx24 transmission with overdrive axspeed + 130 motor. Should really wake this up now.
@@rcworxshop I didn’t solder mine I had the option I just took the connectors of the stop switch and inserting wires into the connectors then reconnected them but there’s so many wires and a delicate battery voltage box it’s hard to hide it all tbh and it can break easily
Don’t do this. Motor too small. KV too high. Will cook on 4S. Cheapest motor mount in the world. Get a hobao one instead. Bad conversion. Worst I’ve ever seen

I had a 8s 2wd rustler that would do close to 200kmh... cheap, easy, reliable... rustler was the best offroad basher i had. Would clear houses and keep going.. awful video review.
The whole world is divided in to two sides one thinks you need plenty of grease with regular servicing, and the other hardly any grease and to wear our your diffs quicker, I'm on one's lol also the diff and diff housing are pretty sealed up on this particular rc model
Just stumbled across this! I used to work at lotus, Schumacher made these for the 50th anniversary of the lotus elise. Lotus made 250 special edition cars for the anniversary and anyone who purchased one got the for the RC car free with it, we also sold them in the shop at the factory too. I managed to pick up the electric version of this, which is more rare nowadays than the nitro version it seems. Still have it in the box, in brand new condition, never used it, it would be one heck of a car upgraded with the latest brushless motors and batteries used today I bet.
That's awesome 👌🏻 I had the electric one back in the day not the fastest but looked awesome, brushless and lipo would work a treat on it just keep in mind the transmission was never designed for anything over say 11v and brushless 👍🏻
@@rcworxshop I couldn’t find GT85 in the states. I got some tri flow superior lubricant with PTFE. Similar to GT85 I assume. I’m going to be doing all the pivot points, and steering points like you did. It makes sense. I do it for my dirtbike too.

Have a rough idea of what you want to do then wing it and have fun with it, just make sure it fits your truck and don't make it too easy to get round 👍🏻

Both are good to be fair but the bigger the engine the more wear and tear on the actual car the 29cc has more than enough torque and speed in my opinion 👍🏻. Thanks for watching matey 👍🏻
Sorry for the late reply if the motor only has three wires coming off its called an un sensored motor, if that the case simply try the blue swapping any two of the wires from the motor to the speed control 👍🏻
