What an upgrade!! real nice fit and it looks absolutely awesome, looks like I'm going to be getting more upgrades in orange. Check out Dp488's channel - / lurch4321 See what we are up to here first / rcworxshop
I put a lot of upgrades in my Maxx. Wide body, aluminum steering links, 40kg power HD servo, aluminum shock caps, aluminum front and rear bulkheads, aluminum front and rear carriers and castor blocks, hardened steel pin kit, light kit and proline trencher tires and reinforced body. It’s an absolute tank. My only regret was the front and rear bulkheads as it made it too heavy and its hard on the motor. It hugged the ground so well but after switching back to plastic bulkheads I like it better…and so does my motor lol
If you’re going to put a vitavon bell crank in there you should also change your servo horn to steel and get a pair of aluminum toe links. Only as good as the weakest link.
So, what’s your thoughts on the real necessity of making this upgrade? Some say putting in aluminum parts often causes issues with other non aluminum parts. You’ve not changed your Toe Links to aluminum? What’s your thoughts? PLMK ASAP. Thank you for the great video.
No I wouldn't really recommend that, there has to be some flex somewhere, if it was only going to live on the shelf as a shelf queen maybe but again just cosmetic then
I tell you now this over the stock is such a difference maker especially with Talon 3.8s on the Maxx - Stock Bell and Saver would not let it turn and with the Hot Racing one I installed the truck turns like it should again. Its a must.
I used to up to a few months ago, but I've moved to xt90 and xt 60 on all my models "there was a lot to change over lol" 👍🏻 I've ran deans for years and never encountered any problems but since stepping in to the 6s 8s game I thought it best to make the switch 👍🏻
@@rcworxshop Thanks for that. I’ve just got a Maxx and my 4S batts are all Deans, I have an adapter but people tell me of melting and blowing the esc if I use it, which worries me as a newbie. I’ve not used it yet as a result.
I've fitted this. The wheels used to turn when stationary (no drive) now they don't . Is this normal ? I always thought the wheels were supposed to turn when stopped on carpet for example ? I also have vitavon servo horn and arm fitted, connected to a Traxxas 2255 high torque servo which all looks good and dead centre . Car fine when up in the air turning but when driving turning circle seems wide. Cheers
@@rcworxshop it's tighter than a nuns 😂 really trying to figure it out . Very annoying that it all needs to go back together before I can test it haha. I'll keep trying different things but thanks for the reply mate 😊
