Welcome to a happy place for junk journal addicts. If you have a passion for junk journals, art journals and beginner watercolour painting and you want easy, step by step help then this channel is for you!
You'll find simple and relaxing videos on making and decorating:
1. Junk Journals; 2. Art Journals; and 3. Embellishments.
I adore using paper, watercolour paints, scrapbook paper or old book pages to make and decorate journals. I make easy paper pockets and envelopes using upcycled papers and old book pages.I especially love painting in my journals, and making junk journals, vintage journals, art journals and Christmas junk journals. Any journals with a theme or a beautiful colour palette.
I upload once a week, normally at a weekend. I'm learning as I go, but I already know that this RU-vid journey and our crafty network and family is totally amazing. Let's have some fun together!
I finally finished my journal made in your style. Everything about it is something I've learned from you except for one thing. I dreamed up a new flippie floppy pocket thingy. I could turn around and make I don't know how many more journals using gesture ideas. But I also just love incorporating them into my junk journals to with my style. Which is just very eclectic I will put it on Instagram when I have more energy. Taking lots of meds for pain so it saps my energy. I probably will have to do more than one video to get it all in. Or I might just show some pages . Blessings and love for your continued healing
Doesn’t matter how many videos I watch of junk journal I still don’t get ideas how to do it. While watching junk journal videos they looks very easy but actually when u go to do I m all blank.

New subscriber here. Just stumbled upon your channel. I’m new to junk journaling. I’m planning on watching more videos and see if I can learn new things like making pockets and envelopes.
I totally forgot how to make these. I always love the ones you have with a little stripes on them and I guess I didn't know how you did it. I don't remember watching this video at all. But I am glad I found it now. The set of rats is no longer available at Amazon. I guess I don't really need that many anyway. I've gotten sidetracked and have not been working in my journal designed after your style. I guess I will get back at it though. Blessings and love
Hi Joie. Just a note to say that I miss you. Always enjoyed your videos and conversations. I don’t know your situation but want to say I’m thinking about you and wish you well.
I don't get it. Why create a journal with no room to write anything. Why fill a book with other people's memories? But I love your art journal. Your work filled with your memories and your work.
It's a journal that be used in many different ways. Some provide more space for writing, I like art journaling and collage as you say. Whatever works for you 💜
I think one reason to call it a "Junk Journal" is because that name gives you permission to make mistakes and to discover your own creativity with no "rules" to stymie you.
Thanks Joie for this tutorial! It’s wonderful. I wonder if you can glue wax papers or papers once treated with beeswax as you do to other papers or to other substrates. Is that a problem? I want to use wax on the entire paper and glue it to wood. Let me know what you think. Do you make sure that the other side has less wax on it? Thanks so much and wishing you a good summer.
Brilliant Thank you so much for sharing and inspiring + demystifying junk journal process. It's so overwhelming where to start to make a page layout. Definitely going to follow your channel for ideas 😊
Hi Joie, I was looking for inspiration and decided to check out some of your older videos. Just wanted to say that you are missed and hope you are feeling better. xx
I've been busy getting all of my doctor appts out of the way. Tuesday was my 81st birthday I was taken out to dinner. The rest of the family are over today for a birthday party. The great grands called and will be gettingmore paper when their grandma gets there in July. June 22./2024. We're doing good on videos. Many many hugs and love to you.💜💜🙏🤗
Hi Joie, I watched a video on your channel for the first time on Wednesday. I'd just got out of hospital and was in need of some craft therapy, but was feeling short of old books. I can't easily get to charity shops and car boot sales, so I'm often stabbing in the dark a bit when I order from various second hand sellers online. Your video was the first that I found that gave me specific book names, many resources that I started to look at gave me types, well, I mostly know what I want, but I can't look inside a book on a website! I found your tips for types very helpful too (I need to listen to "something different" as I'm gaining piles of similar things). I had a lovely selection arrive in the post today and more are on their way. Unfortunately my sitting is a bit limited so tonight will be TV not crafting. Since then I've been digging a bit and watching videos of some of the projects you showed in the books video. Thanks to you I have made my first master board. I wouldn't have had the courage to use paint in my paper crafting it if wasn't for your idea with metallic blocks, I had such fun with that, it really did remind me how crafting benefits mental health. Now I'm watching more videos of the projects you used it for, definitely planning to make a folio featuring something from "sketches of bird life", but I'm still waiting for my copy to arrive. It's been really nice to hear a British voice and thus know I can likely find the supplies you use quite easily. I injured my wrist in later 2021, in a way that needed surgery, since then it feels like I've been on a train I can't get off, it seems to be one thing after the other. I've seen both the best and the worst of the NHS and been blessed with the resources such that I have been able to top that up in some places (I think I'd still be waiting for the wrist surgery). Lately I've become acutely aware of the need to consciously work on staying healthy and with such severe mental health problems I believe actively engaging my creativity is an important part of that. I'm sad for you that this video was over a year ago, but glad that you do seem to be responding comments, so I'm reassured you are still with us (I've been subscribed to a couple of channels where the owner did pass). You will be in my thoughts and prayers.
I have heard so many good things about you and your creativity. I am keeping you in my thoughts and prayers and wish you well. I will definitely check out your videos because I completely understand how much it means to have support from others. I have had many health battles myself with the latest one being one of the worst so even though I don’t know your specific illness just know that I understand the struggles and I can see you have a strong, fighting spirit and I will be praying you will overcome it.
