He who has installed the audio system has got it by the wrong end ... placing the high drivers at your side is completely wrong. You ought to build a podium, high(er) frequencies are directional, lower frequencies less and sub totally not. So everything okay but the high drivers (tweeters). Best is to move them as far forward as possible in cars. You will have a massive effect, it pulls your stereo framework up. To make it simple, would you watch a concert standing with your side to the podium ? or with your back facing the stage ? (in the early days people would only put subs and 6x9" in the back, that was totally horrible) Regards ! (Am a pro car audio installer for over 20 years)
