When the military brat denied him permission to make it functional he should have pursued other avenues. "Military Intelligence" is sadly something that Veterans all over the world thoroughly understand all too well 😉
How did the crew not mutiny? It’s not this was a military operation where the crew could face the execution if they refused, they were just basically employees
Boring monotonous Western propaganda: "stupid Soviet engineers could not do anything, so spies stole the unique Concorde drawings, well, the technology for building on the basis of drawings came out of thin air, and the front mustache was for bragging"
It’s 2024. The British train system is still just as terrible. It costs £60 (about 80USD) for a return journey from London to Reading (about 30mins) and they’re always delayed/full and woefully outdated. Our trains truly are the jewel in the crown of British inadequacies. 😂
So this is another case of: 1. Things are not ready but media and higher ups pressure forcing it anyway. Either being mocked to death and called liar. Or died being a "hero" while we all can see it was foolish from the start. 2. The higher ups as usual. They cared more about how many money they spend/saving their face on media than actually cared about whoever carrying the projects. Classic, and still happens today sadly. 3. Wilkins is another proof ego is a deadly things. Still happens nowadays also. Most of disasters always started with stubborn people that think they can bend reality.
