I’m just shocked that people are so gullible. It’s a great business model but if they said was hard and only 1% of people make money who would sign up? I wish they had an internal gumption to improve the business model and how they treat people. Culture is broken and the products are expensive to pay out bonuses to founding diamonds…at this point it’s a very hard business to build and you’d make more making videos on RU-vid…
Was in this exact same organization for 13 years. Really hard to get out once you get in because they have you believing you will have a terrible life if you don't stick around. We lost roughly $100K over 13 years. Stay away from these deceptive people.
Elise, I notice that your youtube channel is not consistent and the way you speak lack confidence. Also, you don't have an attractive opening, which makes your videos boring. I think these are reasons that makes you a bad salesperson if you are to join amway, which is why you hate the company so much. Amway is not a get rich quick scheme, it requires hardwork, education and persistance.
There are so many sales position out there - from selling makeup to selling services to selling insurances, travels, cars, properties, land etc etc. Selling amway products is just like that - you need the skills to be a good salesperson.
The difference between selling amway products and selling a car is that selling amway products allows you to earn passive income when you have train enough business people under you to continue the legacy of training other new people. Selling cars does not promise you passive income at all.
Your numbers are way off though lol and you dont get paid a percentage from what the downline makes, lol. Otherwise that would definitely be a ripoff, and noone would have any downline ever .. Also the compensation is ALOT higher, thats why youll see lawyers, doctors, dentists, people in real estate careers etc switch over to build the business as well. It just makes sense once you see the real numbers and real compensation plan. From what Ive seen, a business only needs 3 partnerships to make $100,000 yearly, as long as you keep those 3 then you get paid for life, then you get to decide if you want to keep your job or not.. more choices open up. Now just add on waaaaay more money the more people you add on. If you had a 50 person business, you could very much be a millionaire a few times over. But like anything in this world, if we dont try it, how the hell would we know? Lol
You can only succeed in businesses like amway if you’re willing to scam literally hundreds or thousands of other people and ruin them financially. You made the right call not pursuing it - 99% of people in it are kind and well meaning, but they get into crazy amounts of debt and it’s awful

A year ago I got bitten in France and I was lucky it got covered by travel insurance. I also needed surgery, because I almost lost my finger as it turned grey and I couldn’t move it anymore. This year I got bitten AGAIN! Now my hand is swollen. Luckily in the hand it’s much less dangerous then in a finger and I am super duper healthy. I am allergic to penicillin (as I found out last year after the antibiotics gave me a severe allergic reaction), so I have a different antibiotics now. My hand is still red and swollen. But I trust. God. I am lucky. ❤
What if every person in Utah gave me a dollar? I would be a millionaire. Yes I would love to enter Amway and have 100 people spend 400 dollars in Amway Products so I can get a 50k salary out of that. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I am not in Amway but let me tell you this - if you feel negatively towards Amway, then it is not for you. You spend so much time thinking about difficult it is to find 100 customers but you forgot that social media and the internet is making it easier to do so. In fact, you can even find 1000, 10,000 customers IF YOU ARE CONSISTENT.
Lots of negative comments but I’ve found Amway to get extremely successful. It’s not Amway that’s bad there a legit debt free company, it’s usually the person signing up that doesn’t know what to do.
Almost half the time I go grocery shopping somewhere such as Walmart or Target, someone comes up to me trying to recruit me into this. I’m a college student so that makes me a perfect target for these people. The conversation always goes the exact same way, it always starts with a compliment about something I’m wearing and then it goes on about their mentors and them wanting to set up meetings and all that. I almost fell for it the first time and even joined one of their zoom meetings but luckily I did my research before it was too late. I also work in retail and so that makes even more of these people come up to me. I’ve always tried to be kind and respectful but the problem has gotten really bad and I lose more of my patience every time I encounter one of these people. The Amway infestation has gotten really bad in the Phoenix, Az metro area!
I had a cat bite my index finger at the middle knuckle. After a week of heavy antibiotic treatment I ended up having to have two surgeries for draining and debridement of the finger. Plus over a month of therapy! To this day my finger is still significantly larger than the other one! Cat bites are no joke!
So glad I came across your video. And that you're also Australian. As I'm having to wear one from Monday morning and didn't really know what to expect. I've actually had borderline stroke level high blood pressure since 2016, how I haven't had a stroke yet, is a miracle! I'm finally doing something about it. Your info was very much appreciated.
My opinion was you just dont get the big picture. Amway does offer products much better then those in local stores. So you have to create value and you dont value the products. If you dont believe in your business it already failed. You also didnt mention any of the team building which is the best way to increase your revenue. Your mindset has to understand that your building your business by helping others. If your focused just on the money then yes its not for you. Im part of a mentor group where the people are excellent, good hearted caring people. Their passionate about what they do and that type of energy is contagious. Therefore ill say like my mentor told me threes 3 types of people. Those who just get it once thye hear what its all about and what is being offered. Second, the one who has a bunch of questions. Third, the one who just thinks is a pyramid scheme not knowing all businesses technically work like one but at least with Amway I dont get paid for who i recruit or nor do i take money out of the pocket of someone underneath me. I have the best products and infrastrature. Most inportantly its the like minded people who keep you encourage and motivated because you got so many small vision people and natural born employees.
Everything you just said is wrong. I will not elaborate why: This is because any smart enough person should be able to understand on first principle why Amway is bad. All I can say is, I don't know how old you are, but presumably you are wasting your early working life away doing something useless. It's just so sad. I guess some people are just not meant to achieve things in life
I went to some meetings because I was dating someone who was involved. The biggest red flag is I am an accountant and have a degree in business. I didn't love the numbers. Yet at all the meetings, they always painted detractors and lazy people with no jobs living in their parent's basement. It was hard though because many of the good principles of "working hard" and "surrounding yourself with good people" make sense and I liked. But the numbers were no good. Oh yeah, and she broke up with me because I wouldn't join. Haha!
That’s a very interesting experience you had, thank you for sharing! That makes me sad that it ended the relationship but evidently for the best. I too was interested in the personal development side of things but not the products/selling/Amway aha

Oh god. This is awful 😂 $72 for a sales team to sell 1000 ‘pv’ which is probably just 1000 products that need to be sold. At the low end you’re getting less than a quarter a sale. Wtf😂😂😂
Umm... you left out customer sales, the discount that IBOs receive and ALL OF THE ADDITIONAL BONUSES that you get on top of the standard compensation ... You only explained the STANDARD COMPENSATION and you did it POORLY, since you based your "EXPLANATION" on people buying products as if this only about buying and not actually running a BUSINESS ... you know with SALES ... if this were only about a BUYING PROGRAM with CASH BACK POINTS then as a comparison to say points from a visa card cash back program or for points (buying only) ... what points or cash back system pays you 23% of what you are buying?? But again AMWAY is not a BUYING PROGRAM with points and CASHBACK compensation, THIS IS A BUSINESS... OPPORTUNITY. OPPORTUNITY being the KEY PART OF THAT PHRASE. It's an OPPORTUNITY. IT is up to you whether it THRIVES or DIES. Your are not just buying products ... please don't "EXPLAIN" things ... that you apparently DO NOT UNDERSTAND. Hmm. With annual sales (2023) of 383.29 billion U.S. dollars. Let's say that APPLE only bought the materials for their phone and NEVER DID ANY WORK ... they never constructed the phones and NEVER SOLD any phones... if someone was so good at selling and recruiting people, then it be smarter to make your own company then and just keep the profits instead of working for someone else and only getting a small percentage back from what you sold. also the person above you gets paid off of what you sell which is insane and is literally what is known as a pyramid scheme. yo8u cant call yourself an "IBO" when its not even your business, its amways aka you are an employee.
@@offencivecontent2464 true, you only getting a small percentage of the profit because its not your product really, its amways... you just an employee to them and whoever recruited you. Amyway and the recruiter get more profit than the seller himself.
This is a pretty good rudimentary explanation, however, keep in mind you're completely leaving out all the bonuses incentives AND most importantly, retail profit. This is not a business without retail sales, so that "$800" will actually be majority sales to retail clients, not just personal use. You'd actually make more than this example shows because of the 10% retail margin. 😊
