Hi guys! I thought I would do a super quick update on my situation - in my last video I opened up about my long term skin (acne) struggles and, having had high blood pressure readings at times, I was concerned I would need to come off the birth control pill which has really helped keep my acne under control. Hormonal birth control pills can cause high blood pressure in some users. Here is an update after getting the results of my 24HR blood pressure monitoring back :D

Glad your blood pressure results were normal. So you had some high readings at the doctor or home? I suffer from white coat hypertension which means my pressure is high in medical settings. Just curious if you monitor at home.

Thank you lovely. High readings at the doctor (and donating blood), indeed I might have white coat hypertension also. I guess time will tell! Do you measure at home? Is the difference quite drastic?

@@EliseHewlett Thanks for responding : ) Yes, I have very high readings in medical settings. I have had 180 to 200 systolic over 90 to 100 diastolic while in clinic, hospital or even dental settings. At home I am usually 130 / 70 to 80 range. I monitor often w/ my Omron automatic arm cuff. I have also had a couple 24 hour ambulatory BP studies done and pressure was pretty normal but I did react on a couple readings as I was a bit embarrassed to be wearing BP unit in public.

@@bigpun1427 wow that’s amazing! Such a big difference. Yes I think I was a bit anxious wearing the cuff in public, I would love to know what people were thinking hahaha

@@EliseHewlett I'm sure I would have been watching you with your cuff but good that you are taking care of your health. When I first saw your video I assumed you may be having issues w/ Low BP instead of High BP. Hope you can get it under control and remain heart healthy ; )
